Chapter 14• Just a day with the bad boy...
Throughout the trip with Blake I tried to make it like I didn't enjoy his motorbike ride. Although, I totally did. My face had a massive grin from ear to ear, surely making my eyes squint. When Blake stopped the bike in a parking spot at KFC, I was disappointed that the ride was over and I tried to act like I didn't enjoy it and was angry at him.
"Finally it's over!" I said as I let go of my death-grip around Blake.
"Didn't you like it?" Blake asked as he turned to look at me.
"If I ever go on it in my life again it will be too soon!"
A small smirk broke on his face. "Oh really? So the bubbly chuckles and high-pitched excited screams are because you didn't enjoy yourself?" Blake asked suddenly unconvinced by my act.
"Nope," I said popping the 'p'. "Not a bit. They were screams of terror." I tried to sound serious and convincing.
All the sudden, from being too serious from my previous statement, a massive smile broke loose on my face. Blake immediately was sure I was lying by the look on his face.
"Tut-tut princess. I know sounds of enjoyment when I hear them." He winked.
"Eeewwwie!" I exclaimed. He chuckled clutching his stomach. "Let's go inside, I'm hungry, remember?"
He grinned and started walking into KFC. As soon as we stepped in the smell hit me like a bus. It made my stomach do excited somersaults and make unpleasant noises.
We ordered and sat down to eat our meal. I finished a few minutes before Blake so I excused myself to go to the bathroom. When I looked in the mirror I was a bit shocked to see myself.
I had no makeup on, my hair was in a messy bun, I was wearing an oversized t-shirt and sweatpants, and I had a hint of pink on my cheeks. But most of all, my eyes had a pleasant glint and my smile was plastered on my face as if I would never again stop smiling. Even though I looked like a mess, I was somewhat happy and pleasurable to look at.
I walked out of the bathrooms and towards where we were sitting to find Blake standing by the doors looking at his phone. I quickly took out my phone to look at the time, and then put it away and walked towards him.
"Ready to go?" Blake asked once I had reached him.
I tucked a stray strand of hair behind an ear and said "Yep, thanks for lunch." Blake bought my lunch, but he forgot to order drinks as we didn't get meals. So I offered to go and get us both drinks that I paid for. (Much to Blake's dislike, but I said I didn't care and buying drinks is no-big-deal. We bantered for a little but i was pretty determined not to let him pay for anything else.)
He waved it off and slung an arm around my shoulder guiding me to the bike. It was weird because I knew where the bike was, and I walked from the bike to inside by myself, but anyway.
"There's been a slight...." I turned my head up to look at his face. I was confused to see him looking model perfect with a... Mysterious smirk on his face. Uh-oh. "...change of plans." He continued after pausing to think of what to say.
"What exactly is that supposed to mean?" I asked confused. If this had been 1 week ago then I would've been scared and wished the ground would swallow me hole.
"Well, princess, I'm taking you somewhere that is not my house."
"Oh please, don't give away too much info." I said sarcastically, shaking my head. "And where is that supposed to be?"
He said nothing but remained with a smirk on his face. I couldn't help but smile to myself and shake my head. When we got to the bike Blake got on first. He helped me up while still sitting. I mumbled under my breath something along the lines of "not this again" loud enough for him to hear.
