Without a word, I opened the door wider and after giving me a weary look, Blake slowly passed me. Its not like I could deny his entrance anyway, but at least he did ask. I wasn't speaking to him to prove my anger at him, I decided not to talk because I was afraid my voice would betray me, wavering or stuttering.
Now that we were standing in the kitchen, Blake turned to me. "Ella, are you really mad at me?" He asked softly, as if he was a kid asking his parents the same thing.
I thought about it for a moment, seeing that he really would value my answer.
After a moment, I sighed. "No, Blake, I can't bring myself to be angry at you. Disappointed? Slightly. I'm a little annoyed that I am disappointed in you, though, because I didn't expect to ever feel disappointed involving you." I explained honestly.
Blake let out a pained sigh. "I'm so sorry Ella, for what happened at the restaurant. I didn't want for this to happen. I was just thinking about you and how I wanted to get back to you, so I just let her get too close to me and gave her my number so that it would be over with. I don't know what I was thinking... Heck I probably want thinking at all... But she overstepped the boundary and I let her, so I'm really sorry. I know it's my fault." Blake rambled honestly.
I had to bite my lip to keep back my smile, for so many reasons. Hearing his side did make it a little better, plus he was so adorable when he was rambling like that, raking his fingers through his hair to the point where it was pretty much standing upright on its own. I wanted to be a tiny bit mad at him, but I really couldn't, although Blake didn't know that.
"And I'm sorry for not realising sooner that I made a mistake by letting her do that, but more importantly for not realising what I was doing to you, because if you were me and that was some other guy, he wouldn't-"
"I know, I know. Look, it's ok, now that you understand, I know that it won't happen again. Promise me you won't let that happen again?" I asked with a raised eyebrow, finally giving in to the honest, dishevelled guy that is in front of me.
Blake's face lit up at my words. "Really?" He asked and I nodded. "You are the most amazing person I know, thank you princess. I promise."
"Hey, don't suck up to me now. I let you off this time, always remember that!" I told him jokingly, just as glad as he was that we were okay again.
"I will, I'll always remember that you are the kindest, most understanding nimrod I know!" Blake teased.
"Hey! Don't get too cocky, mister." I told him with a playful shove in the chest, which he didn't budge but instead stepped closer.
Blake winked. "Never."

Slipping into the cream coloured dress that Bridget picked out for me, I listened to the excited hoots from the lounge room where the three idiots were relaxing.
Adjusting my wavy hair so that I didn't ruin Bridget's artwork, I was just about to join the boys in the lounge but before I could Bridget called me back.
