Chapter 5• Re-united

It was Saturday morning, well, morning being 10:46 to be exact, and I finally decided to get out of my very comfy pj's, unfortunately. But sweat pants and loose top will do me today, we have guests but I'm not sure who. I don't really care if they see me like this to be honest.

Plus, it's not that bad, is it? Well, it's better than pyjamas.

I heard knocking on my bedroom door. That's at first.

"Yea come in" I screamed lying on my tummy on my bed.

"Our guests are over, make your way down to say hello when your ready." My dad opened the door to say. Something told me he wasn't telling me something.

I made my way down the stairs, when I got to the corner I looked into the lounge room to see the backs of three familiar people plus my parents.

"Oh glad you could join us Ella!" My mum turned slightly towards me. The three peoples heads snapped in my direction when they heard my name. I realised that it was none other than my cousin and uncle and aunty grinning enthusiastically at me! I haven't seen them for ages and I was so surprised they were here!

"Aunty Laura! Uncle James! Lachlan! Oh my gosh I can't believe your here!" I let out a squeal and ran up to them to give them each a bone-crushing hug.

"Oh Ella we've missed you! My how beautiful you are!" My aunty was holding my shoulders and looking at me. My uncle and parents agreed.

"Ella! Come here and give your favourite cousin a handshake!" Lachlan had a massive grin on his face. He doesn't actually mean a normal handshake, we made up this handshake one summer a few years back. It was complicated and only us two new it.

We happily did it together, and I was surprised he remembered. We were in fits of laughter, the whole family. To be honest, I missed my cousin Locky the most out of everyone I've ever been separated from. Unfortunately, when we were young he moved to not far from where we are now, and I haven't seen him face to face since then, as I was back in Melbourne. He was like an older brother that I never had to me.

"So Ella, how's school? I'm not sure if you've heard Locky is going to start studying in the area soon. He can be your personal taxi!" My uncle told me, knowing I was going to be excited obviously.

"Oh yay for him! But I feel sorry for him now! I don't want to take advantage of him!"

"Oh trust me little Elly-smelly I would happily do that! Anything to spend time with you!" He offered me a smile in which I gladly returned. I was so rapt that he was sticking around for a while!

"Come on guys, I'm sure your hungry, lunch is ready on the table!" Mum started walking towards the dining room.

After lunch, we decided that Locky and I were going to be teenagers and catch up. Also so he could show me the hot spots around here. We pulled up at a café. I know what your thinking, how is a café a hot spot? Yea, same here.

"So Ella, how's everything been? Got any eyes for anyone?" Locky wiggled his eyebrows suggestively at me. I looked at him with my head tilted and eyebrows raised giving him a 'seriously-what-do-you-think' look.

"Come on Ella, surely there must be someone that makes you tingle, blush on your cheeks and day dream about?!" He just looked at me waiting, until we both started chuckling, me before him.

"Ok well I shouldn't be so Assumptive! But by the way, remember that I have to meet the guy and trust him. Don't want anyone breaking your heart again." Locky gave me a serious look, and we both remembered back.
