Chapter Twenty-Eight

"YOU HAD a good entrance last week, I must commend." I bit my lower lip from preventing myself from giving him a snob expression. What a way for us to meet in this predicament.

"And who would have thought that as an untamed man, your patience is capable of beating," I told him while I'm crunching to get a good angle while my arms are still chained behind.

His face turned sour as soon as he heard me saying that. Well, I'm mocking him. I won't deny that.

"Your mouth still spits nonsense," he commented while gritting his teeth.

I grinned at his sudden change of mood, from calm to being grim. Oh, how I missed seeing that if only I have my eyesight.

"You had it coming," he simply said when he tried to calm himself.

My lips twisted as I'm impressed by how he is holding his anger this time. Seems like he's been practicing, huh. The House of Wrath surely gives me surprises and I kind of liking that. That's new.

"So, what do you want us to talk about? You know that we only have an hour. Those brothers are smart enough that you'll use this chance to persuade me not to do the execution." This time, mas kalmado na nga ito. He even leaned on the couch while smoking his vape.

"For sure they will do, putting us in a room where they could see us is already one." Wika ko habang napatingin sa salamin sa kabilang dulo kung saan ramdam kong may tao sa likod niyon.

"And for sure they are interested how you will have me convinced. You must be aware by now that I'm not here for you."

I rolled my eyes. "I'm not entitled as much as you do, Vince."

"So, cut to the chase, Premiere. What do you want from me?"

I sighed while I moved my neck from left to right. Nakaluhod ako rito sa kwartong 'to as they don't want to give me a proper way to talk to someone.

"On the contrary of what they are expecting." I said while putting malice in each word. "Convince them to have me killed immediately,"

I'm pretty much sure that the aloof eyes of Vincentius de Castellan-Avesnus made their way to look at me with shock and curiosity.

"You do know that it's their plan today, right?" Vince reminded me.

"I know," I replied casually.

"And you're requesting to have it done... immediately? But why?"

"So, you could have Agatha. She's the reason why you're here anyway." I reasoned out but his confused reaction became enraged upon hearing my excuse.

"Don't bullshit me, Premiere! You won't sacrifice your life just to save someone who became the vessel of that wicked Queen! You have their Heiress! If I were you, tell them where she is now so your life could be spared!"

"I may not be the reason why you are here but it seems like the only way you could have her is for me to stay alive, am I right?"

Natigilan ito when he saw my smirk. He was stupefied and maybe realized what I did.
