Chapter Thirteen

I tried so hard to retaliate the same angst and braveness that she is showing. But her laughs showed that she's not affected at all.

"I don't mind what they call me, my dear. All of them would kneel before me as soon as I get what I want. And I'll start with your friends, Anastasia Graham. Vera Cox and Xyrene Coltrane will taste my wrath before you."

"You just have to send this message through the internet so you could deliver this awful warning of yours. Do you really think that you will scare me because you're targeting my friends? Think again. I may be the vessel of Aurelia, but I'm still the Queen of this world you're trying to invade. Be sure to hurt me hard, Drusilla."

"And I will, my dear. Don't worry on that part. Just be ready. Their secrets will be revealed, and those secrets are the things that you wouldn't expect. Do you really think that they are your friends? Tingin mo sa'yo pa rin sila papanig pagkatapos ng mga mangyayari?"

My wall of braveness has been cracked easily with Drusilla's words. My brain started to tell me not to be affected because those are just words.
