So Steve passed out. One look at the winter soldier and he was out cold.

"Um Friday, call Bruce and Nat down here please. Oh and tell Peter to come home, I could do with his help as well."

"On it Boss."

I managed to get Steve onto one of the couches after much effort. Nat and Bruce appeared a few minutes later both with equal expressions of worry scrawled on their faces.

"What happened?"

"Took one look at that and he passed out." I gesture over my shoulder to the hologram that I just can't be bothered to deactivate.

"Why? You don't think he recognised him do you?"

"Oh god." Nat raised her hand to her mouth and fell into the chair next to Steve.

"What?"

"Hydra took Bucky. Gave him super soldier serum. What if that's Bucky."

My heart drops to my stomach. If that's Bucky then he will have half the world after him. Not to mention the kid, she can't be safe with him.

Before I can respond the window slides open and Peter flips in, followed by his annoying boyfriend who I can never get rid of.

"Hi dad. Karen said you needed me?"

"I need you to stay here and keep an eye on Cap. If he wakes up do not let him leave."

"Okay...any particular reason or?"

"Woah is that the Winter Soldier. You know I met him once, nice guy. Crazy but nice."

Peter elbowed Wade in the ribs and the very unnecessary outburst then turned his attention back to me.

"We have to pay the winter soldier a visit."

---

When I woke up Bucky was nowhere in sight. My heart rate began to pick up as I swept through the house. Empty. The front door clicked open and Bucky stumbled on with at least five bags hooked on his arm.

I storm over and punch his shoulder earning an offended gasp. "Stop scaring me you idiot."

"I thought you were asleep!"

I peered into one of the bags and my eyes lit up when I saw five packets of Reece's. Maybe I shouldn't be too mad.

"You're forgiven...if I can have some chocolate."

"Fine, help yourself. But I am not going out for a while so savour it." He wags his finger at me with a mock glare making me laugh.

I follow him into the kitchen, taking my place on top of the island as he packs away the groceries. I tuck into my chocolate moaning at the sweetness. Hydra never gave us food like this. It's amazing!

"So doll what do you want to do today? I haven't been in New York for decades, there is so much I want to show you."

I lean forward as Bucky rambles on about his old neighborhood. I have never seen him this happy. He looks at peace now that he is back home. It's a comforting sight.

"Or there's central park! Steve and I-"

Bucky cut himself off, freezing with his arm half in the fridge. Any trace of happiness melts off his face, replaced with utter confusion.

"Who's Steve?"

"I- I don't know." That wasn't convincing in the slightest. I take his shoulder and swivel him round so we are face to face.

"Yes you do. Who is he?"

"Someone from before Hydra. I used to live with him. But I don't know who he was to me. All I can remember is his name and...a feeling."
