Off topic but how did you guys find the finale of FATWS??

----

I wake up to Peter and Wade lounging on the couch opposite me. The hologram had disappeared, in its place was a random Netflix program that the kids seemed enthralled with.

"What happened?"

"Jesus Christ!" Wade practically fell off the sofa at my sudden intrusion. Peter paused the show and looked at me nervously.

"You passed out. Dad said you can't leave until he gets back. Something about capturing the winter soldier."

I push myself so I am bolt upright and stare at Peter. "Where was he headed?"

"Central Park. Why?"

"For fucks sake." I sprint over to the elevator grabbing my shield on the way. I go to push the button but am webbed to the wall instead.

"Dad says you can't leave. I'm sorry."

"Kid get this off now." I tried to rip the webbing off but it held fast. Peter ignored me, resuming his show and pulling Wade back down.

"Peter Stark I swear to god if you don't take this off." Peter simply turns up the TV to drown out my shouting. That doesn't stop me of course. I yell at him until my throat is hoarse and raw.

Tony has gone after Bucky. To make it worse he intended to keep it from me. How long did he think that would last?

"Mini Boss, your father has returned. He requests to see you and Wade in the common room."

Peter gets up, shutting down the hologram. They walked past me as if I wasn't there, although Peter had a heavily guilty expression on his face. The elevator doors slide shut and I am left alone.

"Screw you Stark."

---

"I'm sorry Cap. It was for your own good." I shut down the security cameras and wait for the boys to arrive. Nat was with Clint in the medbay, leaving only Bruce and I to talk this out.

"Hi dad. What's up?"

"We um found the winter soldier." Peter's jaw dropped in shock, as did Wade's.

"Really? How?"

"He was out in the open. Wasn't even trying to hide." Saying it out loud sounds wrong. Why was he being so careless? Surely if you are being hunted you would turn to a more reclusive lifestyle, not having picnics in central park.

"Where is he?"

"Back at the compound. We have better holding cells there."

Peter nodded plopping himself next to me. "Steve woke up. I had to web him to the wall to stop him escaping."

"Unfortunately sir that did not work. He is currently on his way to the common room."

"Thanks Fri." I sigh. This is going to be fun. The doors had barely opened when Steve started yelling all kinds of abuse at me.

"Steve I am not in the mood for this. Bucky beat the shit out of me."

"Good. You shouldn't have gone after him." Steve snarled, his knuckles white around his shield.

"Woah cool it captain. He is a criminal." Wade quipped. I suppose I should have filled them in more on who Bucky was. Steve looks ready to murder Wade right now.

"He is being held at the compound. You can visit him once he has woken up. But that's not what I wanted to discuss." Steve's posture switched from defensive to confused in a split second.

"He had the girl with him. When he was out she kept attacking the agents, so we had no choice but to sedate her. She has been taken to the compound for questioning, and I want you to do it."

Steve's glare snapped to Peter who was looking at me completely shocked. Wade however has a hint of pride on his face.

"Why me?"

"She's your age so is more likely to respond to you than an adult."

"Are you sure?"

"Positive." I swear Steve is glaring at me hard enough for me to drop down dead at any second. Wade seems to read the room and directs Peter to the door, who is still in slight shock that I asked him to do such an important thing.

As soon as the kids left Steve near enough exploded.

"What the fuck were you thinking?"

"Steve, like it or not, Bucky was a criminal. Would you rather the state got hold of him? At least with us we know he is safe."

"And the kid?"

"What about the kid?"

"Jesus Tony," Cap broke off rubbing his temple. "That girl is terrified. All it took was for me to touch Bucky's arm and she was at his side pulling him away. You have only succeeded in showing her that there is more bad than good in this world."

"It was for her own good Steve."

"She doesn't know that." Steve turns on his heel and stalks off towards the elevator. "If anything happens to her it's not Bucky you will have to deal with."

"Is that a threat Steve."

Steve stayed quiet as he entered the lift. The silence spoke volumes. I hope to god that she is okay, I'm not looking to get beat up twice.
