"ready?"
"uh... yeah."
"everything alright, esme?" calum hums, shoving his hands in his usual black jeans. these black jean were different from the ones he wore before, they had a rip in the right knee.
"yes, i just feel like i left something at the shop." i try to repeat my list of things i brought to work today, but I can't concentrate.
"well, looks like you'll find out when you get home." he shrugs, he was right. we had already begun the bitter cold walk to his tiny automobile.
"you're right, screw it." I throw my hands in the air, not even caring anymore. just two weeks ago i would be in panic mode, but calum made me carefree.
"so, can i ask you a question?"
"you just did." i state, pulling my jacket tighter as the wind got stronger.
"you're one of those people!" calum groans, rolling his eyes sarcastically.
"one of what people?" i raise my eye brow.
"nevermind." he chuckles to himself, looking down at the grey colored ground.
"so, your question?"
"oh yeah, luke and i are having a small party this friday, you want to come?" he smiles, looking hopeful.
"i don't know, i am not social." i explain, felling bad i let him down on his offer.
"that's okay, you can stay with me all night! it will be fun." he adds.
"how many people?" i question.
"a few."
"like how many?" i continue, running my frigid fingers through my long hair.
"well, there's luke and i. and our two close friends with their girlfriends, and a few other guys. so around fourteen i'd say. if you come that would make fifteen." he persuades me.
"fine, but you are not convincing me to sleep over with all your buddies!" I giggle jokingly.
"deal!" calum announces, pulling out his car keys for his jacket pocket. the raven haired boy opens the door for me and hope in on the other side. shoving the keys in and turning up the heat.
"shit." i mumble, remember what i forgot.
"what?" calum turns to me, worried.
"i left my apartment keys on the counter in the lounge." i tell him, frustration taking over.
"it's okay, calm down. we can drive by and pick them up." he grins, patting my back to comfort me.
"okay." i breath out, settling down in the seat as calum drives back to the shop. stopping out front, he hops out and runs into the shop as i wait patiently for the kind boy.
"here we are." he jingled the keys in front of my eyes.
"thank you so much." i grasp the keys and embrace the boy in my arms.
"it was nothing, glad i could help." He smiles and we drive to my apartment.
when we reach the front entrance, i look him in his chocolate eyes. "thank you, really." i jump out, ducking my head back in for a final good bye. "zoe says hi by the way."
"guess i'll have to come by again." he suggests and chuckles.
"have a nice night calum." i wave.
"good night esme!" and the raven haired boy drives off, going to his home.
{they are cute. so ship names?
