Chapter 5: Borrowed Time

You awoke and what you overheard Kaede and Shuichi say was still on your mind and you still didn't know what to do.  But you decided to head to the dining hall and at least act like nothing was happening.
You were walking to the dining hall and you saw Kokichi talking to Kaede.  You were walking over and you heard Kokichi ask a question.
"So how far have you gone with Shuichi?" Kokichi asked.
"What are you talking about?!" Kaede shouted flustered.
"What were you imagining just now? I just wanted to know how far you've gone exploring this place together that's all. Like me and Y/N went pretty far yesterday." Kokichi grinned.
"That's none of your business Kokichi." Kaede scowled.

"Huh? What's with the attitude?" Kokichi sadly asked. "You're so mean I thought you said we were friends Kaede. But you were lying this whole time! WAAAAAHHHHHH!!"
"Geez Kaede you made him cry how rude." You scolded shaking your head with a slight laugh.
"Yeah well he's lying too." Kaede said crossing her arms.
"Oh wow Kaede. You know how to stand your ground don'tcha? But you're right I was lying after all we're just strangers to one another. That's why I don't really care about what you and Shuichi do. Besides even friends don't share everything with each other!" Kokichi grinned.
"Huh?" Kaede asked.
"I'm more nervous around friends who share too much than strangers really." Kokichi commented and then ran off.
"How odd." You mumbled.
"Well you two seem close right Y/N?" Kaede asked with a smirk.
"Hmm I mean I guess so but I'm also close with you and Shuichi." You smiled.
"That's right we are friends so let's head to the dining hall." Kaede smiled.
"Tsumugi is going to do my nails later you should come." Kaede smiled.
"Yeah maybe if I'm not too busy. " You smiled back.

As you two entered the dining hall everyone else was already there and in a good mood but also wondering when someone is going to come save us.
You sat down away from the others still thinking about who's the one controlling Monokuma.
"Is this how it really ends?" You questioned and everyone stared at you. "It just seems too easy too simple."
"You're absolutely right Y/N." Kaede agreed.
"I wonder do you two wish the killing game would have continued?" Korekiyo asked.
"Absolutely not!" You yelled. "But you all know what I think and Kaede probably feels the same. We aren't the one you should be giving the cold shoulder."
"Then don't ruin our happy moment you vermins!" Miu yelled.
"Hey Y/N, Kaede I don't know what you're so worried about." Kokichi said. "But Monokuma is dead now. There's no way the killing game can continue y'know?"
"You guys are all so dense." You sighed. "Monokuma isn't alive he's a robot. There must be someone out there controlling him and most likely the monokubs too." 
Just then Monokuma appeared.
"And that's my cue to appear." Monokuma said.

You jumped because of the suddenness of it all but this confirmed your theory.
"What?!" Kokichi yelled.
"GAHH!" Tenko yelled.
"He's still alive?!" Kaito yelled shocked.
"No no are you guys blind or something kuma? I ain't Monokuma kuma." The not Monokuma spoke.
"Then who are you?" You asked.
"After dying in a tragic car accident I've been reborn as a Yo-Kai! Call me Jibakuma kuma!" Jibakuma said. "From now on Im the headmaster of the ultimate academy kuma! You might feel uncomfortable at first but you will get used to it. Did I mess up?"
"No duh ya fraud! Go find another car to run you over! And this time stay dead!" Miu yelled.
"Ah geez it's such a low level cosplay I can't bear to look." Tsumugi said.
It then turned into the regular Monokuma and all the monokubs appeared.
  "So this means the killing game will continue then." You muttered.
"What do you mean the killing game is gonna continue?" Kokichi sadly asked.  "I mean that sounds a lot less boring so I guess it's okay!"
"No it's definitely not okay!" Tenko yelled her face pale from fear.
"So that's how it's going to be if we want this to end we have to take down Monokuma and the person behind him. Which is what Y/N said all along." Rantaro stated.
"I predicted there would be a spare but I did not expect it to be built within the academy. Either way I assumed this would happen. This development was not surprising." Kirumi said.
"Wow Y/N is soo smart." Kokichi said in awe. "You should totally be apart of my organization!"
