Chapter 54: Supervillain Lair

Following the echoes of Kokichi's laugh you were running after Miu and Kokichi. The three of you dashing through the halls and you and Miu were being lead to a completely unknown destination.    The more time spent as you were running the more fun you started to have and the more excitement filled within you. You felt free and you were finally having fun in this horrid game.     Eventually you saw Kokichi run into a door and you and Miu followed and when you got inside you saw Kokichi smiling proudly. 

  You looked around and it looked like a super villain lair filled with faux weaponry used for pranks  like two way radios and you also saw a few clown masks  and you noticed a large replica of a helicopter and a  car that looked like the Batmobile and a prominent throne with  the DICE logo above. This lab was definitely Kokichi's lab.
"Welcome to my evil lair!" Kokichi announced.
"It does have an evil organization feel." Miu commented looking around.
"So this is going to be our base?" You confirmed.
"Neeheehee of course! This is the perfect base for us Monokuma wouldn't expect us to be discussing everything in here so it's secure but also since Y/N is my second in command and Miu is an honorary DICE member it's fitting." Kokichi smiled.
"Honorary?! Not that I wanted to be apart of your little organization why am I only an honorary member!?" Miu yelled.
"Neeheehee because you haven't displayed any useful characteristics Miu and it isn't a little organization there's over 10,000 members!" Kokichi announced.

"That's probably just one of your lies!" Miu yelled.
"Nuh-uh!" Kokichi shouted back.
"Then set me up with one of your members!" Miu yelled.
"Of course you would use it to find a date but sorry no can do all of the members actually have standards." Kokichi grinned.
"Why you little...!" Miu yelled.
"Hey hey! Focus you two!" You snapped. "What's this book?"
"Oh that  that's just a book about Hope's Peak Academy, a Future Foundation, and Remnants of Despair. Not important." Kokichi said.
"Umm that sounds pretty important to me." You said flipping through the pages.
"Anything interesting in there?" Miu asked.
"It's talking about some battle between hope and despair I can't make much sense of it." You admitted shaking your head.
"It has to be important or else it wouldn't be in here but it doesn't make sense."  Miu sighed.
"Maybe there's more clues we have to find for this to make sense." Kokichi smirked.

"Well we did know we couldn't solve everything in one night." Miu said
"Yeah we can't but this is at least our super evil lair so we can solve all these mysteries in here." Kokichi smirked.
"Why do we have to be the evil ones!?" Miu yelled giving a thumbs down.
"Obviously because the other four are expecting us to be so we should give them a show. We're taking a chance that one of us isn't the mastermind and most likely one of them right? And I have an evil reputation and now Y/N does and because you're associated with us you do now too. So let's use that to our advantage give the mastermind and Monokuma a good show so they won't know that we are on to them!" Kokichi announced with a wide smile tossing you a clown mask and then tossing one to Miu.
"A clown mask?" You asked giving him a confused look.
"These will identify us as our evil organization and let the others know too. To anyone who isn't in the room we are the villains of this place." Kokichi said.
"You're having a lot of fun with this aren't you?" You asked raising your brow.
"It's not everyday that we get to be villains so why not enjoy it? You never know when we'll have this opportunity again y'know?" Kokichi grinned and you gave him a skeptical look and then looked back at the mask.
"Well I don't have a better plan so I'll go along with this pretending to be evil and just working with you two to find out who the true mastermind is." Miu gave a thumbs up and agreed to the plan.

"You two already know I'm in. It's for the greater good. We'll find out the secrets of this place and figure out who the mastermind is even if the means might be...questionable as long as we get to true the mastermind." You sighed.
"Questionable would be if we just killed the other four and hope that they're the mastermind so we can leave the game this is just plain interesting." Miu laughed.
"Wait is doing what Miu said an option?" Kokichi asked.
You and Miu exchanged worried looks and then looked at Kokichi. "No!" You both shouted in unison.
"But imagine how much easier it would be." Kokichi frowned.
"Are you insane?!" Miu hissed.
"Me? Insane? WAHHHHHH YOURE SO MEAN!" Kokichi faked cried and Miu rolled her eyes.
"Kokichi it will be okay." You said and gave him a hug.
"Will it really be?" Kokichi sniffed.
"Yes." You smiled and kissed his cheek.
"Neeheehee I should fake cry more often." Kokichi smiled.
You looked around more and then you noticed a book titled "The Script". You gave a confused look at the book and you flipped a page and it was a whole script of what Kaito would say as fake Kokichi. The more you read the more you realized that it was Kokichi's plan to sacrifice himself. With the writing that's there it looked like he was planning this since Kaede's execution.

"Kokichi." You said in a stern voice and both Kokichi and Miu looked at you confused.
"Wh-what is this...?" You softly asked holding up the script and his eyes widened in horror.
"You weren't suppose to see that!" Kokichi yelled taking the script from your hands.
"Wh-what is that?" Miu asked.
"A failed plan." Kokichi sighed.
"Y-you were going to sacrifice yourself...to save us...to make a case that couldn't be solved. Why would you do that!?" You yelled tears falling from your eyes. Kokichi gave no response he just looked away.
"Answer her!" Miu yelled.
"For you Y/N! To save you! Because I saw that there was no way for both you and I to make it out of this place together and I knew if I couldn't I needed you to escape this place!" Kokichi cried.
"A-a-and now?" You shakily asked.
"I-I can't leave you because I'm selfish...because I want to be with you always...because I'll suffer in here with you before I leave you. So that was just a failed plan." Kokichi professed and you looked at him and he looked at you. Both of your eyes filled with tears and a mixture of emotions.
"It's late you two it might be best if we all sleep. We have a plan to act evil to use the masks and our reputation to our advantage and to find the clues of the academy. This is our base. Let's just go." Miu sala and then walked out the room.
You gave one sad look to Kokichi and then left his ultimate lab heading back to your room to go to bed after a long drawn out night.
