Chapter 45: A Heartfelt Reunion

"Y/N...no! No! No! No! Why!? Come back to me! Y/N please don't leave me! I don't want to be alone!" You heard someone cry. "If only I was stronger this wouldn't have happened it's my fault! If I was always with her this would have never happened! If I went through with my plan this wouldn't have happened! My beloved please come back to me! I need you!"  The voice cried pain seeping through every word
      "Y/N please come back to us we need you! Please Y/N please. I never thought I would even know what true friendship is but you showed me what having a true friend is like and I'd rather walk in the dark and live forever in this killing game with you and Kokichi then walk in the light and leave without you! Please Y/N!" Another voice cried. 
You felt more and more tears fall on and you slowly fluttered your eyes open to see Kokichi and Miu sobbing over you as Kokichi was clutching your left hand and Miu was clutching your right and Kaito who was standing behind Kokichi was crying as well.

"It's a lie." You softly spoke with a small smirk. Kokichi's eyes that were filled with tears and despair looked into your E/C eyes and you saw that happiness rush back into his eyes as he realized that you were alive. Miu had a look of disbelief and happiness and then Kokichi tackled you in an embrace.
"Y/N!" He happily exclaimed with the biggest smile and you wrapped your arms around him. "Don't ever do that to me again Y/N! I need you! You're all I ever wanted and you're all I need. I can't do this without you Y/N. You're my dream my everything. Every piece of me aches for you when I saw you lying on the ground seeing your blood...I felt as if I saw my whole life die right in front of me. I can't do this without you. You're my motivation for everything. My heart needs you to beat." Kokichi professed and kissed you passionately. "I love you Y/N L/N!" Kokichi confessed blushing   
You looked at him shocked at what he said and you were blushing too. You looked at him deep into his eyes and smiled. "I love you Kokichi Oma. I love you with everything I am and everything I have been and everything I will. I will love you for the rest of my life. It will always be you!"  You professed and kissed him again. Once you pulled away you noticed that Kokichi had a lovestruck grin on his face and Miu was wiping her tears and she had a big smile on her face.
"Oh my gosh! Y/N said she loves me too! Yipppeee!!!" Kokichi cheered and you giggled at his excitement. You then saw Kaito and Shuichi giving a thumbs up.

  You looked over at Miu who had a huge smile on her face and she hugged you tightly.  "I thought I lost you forever because of Plain Jane. I swear I was about to go berserk I don't know what I would have done without my best friend." Miu smiled.
"I'm not dead yet and I'm not planning on dying trust me we're going to make it out of this game together." You promised.
You slowly stood up and you looked at everyone and they were still looking at you as if it wasn't possible.

"H-how is this possible?" K1-B0 questioned shocked. "With all the calculations I thought you were dead if I had a crying function I would cry tears of happiness because you are alive."
"Y/N L/N the ultimate botanist the lovely beauty who rose from the dead!" You declared with a smirk. "Don't cry too much!"
"I'm just so glad you're so safe!" Kokichi said hugging you and giving you a kiss.
"Yeah I actually felt bad for Kokichi for a second their reunion is touching." Maki said with a small smile. 
"Y/N don't run into danger like that ever again." Shuichi scolded holding up the note.
"Yeah Dolly that was stupid!" Kaito yelled. "But I'm glad you're alive!" 
"Gonta so happy Y/N is safe!" Gonta cheered and gave you a hug. 

  "Not to break up this touching reunion but what are we going to do about Tsumugi?" Maki asked.  
   You looked over and you saw Tsumugi dead glass shards all around her with something wrapped around her and you noticed the effects of the poison. 
"Brutal." You said in disgust.
"I'd rather it be Plain Jane gone then Y/N." Miu stated.
"I think everyone would rather it be the cosplayer than Y/N. But now both Himiko and Tsumugi are dead." Kokichi stated looking at Tsumugi.
"Well according to the rules only the culprit of the first victim gets punished. Himiko was the first and Tsumugi was the second so we just need to worry about Himiko's culprit." You explained.
"But we should still try to find Tsumugi's culprit. It might be important." Shuichi argued.
"You bet it could be important!" Monokuma laughed as he popped in.
"What are you doing here?" Shuichi asked.
"Stop sneaking up like that!" Kaito yelled.
"Geesh I'm just here to give you the report for Tsumugi." Monokuma sadly said and you took one of the reports.

You looked at it and you noticed a key detail the cause of death wasn't listed. Your eyes widened as you realized that detail.
"Why isn't the cause of death listed?" You asked.
"It would make it way too easy to know who the killer is if that's the case. Puhuhu." Monokuma laughed and then left.
"How fun! It's even more of a mystery!" Kokichi exclaimed excited.
"With our lives on the line!" Kaito yelled.
"No as Y/N said we only need to convict Himiko's killer not Tsumugi's." Kokichi argued.
"Yeah Plain Jane is so irrelevant we don't even have to look at her anymore which will be great for my eyes!" Miu insulted with a cackle. "Plus I think I already know who Himiko's killer is!"
"But Tsumugi was a friend so we should find her killer." K1-B0 stated.
"Wait you know who killed Himiko?" You asked Miu and she confidently laughed.
"Of course I do!"

"Y/N is the most suspicious one for Tsumugi." Maki sighed looking at you.
"Hey Y/N is innocent until proven guilty!" Kokichi argued.
"We haven't even investigated so don't start throwing accusations like that!" Miu yelled.
"Y/N do you even want to investigate? I mean we did get the knife out but I'm sure you're still sore." Kaito said.
"I'm....fine. Just fill me in on Himiko." You stated looking away and rubbing your arm. Realizing that you could be the culprit you were sick to your stomach. Yet it wasn't proven it could be you or whoever tied the material around her. But knowing that it is possible that you did kill Tsumugi even with the rule in place so you wouldn't get punished it just didn't feel right to you.
"Allow me to fill you in." Shuichi said interrupting you from your thoughts.

Shuichi filled you in on all the details he discovered about Himiko with Miu and Kokichi adding more information in and this case was tricky. You didn't fully understand it and you definitely didn't know who did it. But you knew it was either Shuichi, Gonta, Kokichi, Maki K1-B0 or Miu. As you and Kaito were always together and Tsumugi was already dead and accused you so she didn't do it. But thinking about it even more you realized that the mastermind was either Gonta, Kokichi, Miu, Shuichi, Kaito, K1-B0 or Maki. But who could it be?
