Chapter 29: Three of a Kind

You awoke to the morning announcement and you were still cuddling with Kokichi.
"Good morning I hope you slept well." Kokichi grinned.
"Good morning to you too." You said and kissed him. "Have you figured out any ideas to take down Angie?"
"We need to go stop the ritual today but in order to do that we need a third member to this group." Kokichi stated with a small smirk.
"And who are we going to get for that?" You asked.
"The third member to our awesome trio is Miu!" Kokichi announced.
"Wait you actually want Miu to complete our trio?" You asked a bit surprised.

"You seem to trust her. So I'll trust her and she does have some cool inventions so she is useful and we can't really ask anyone else because I don't trust Kaito, Shuichi, Maki, or Korekiyo as well Tenko is pretty useless and the others are still apart of the cult. So she's our only option." Kokichi explained.

  "I'm just glad that you are allowing her into the group so we can become the ultimate trio. Let's go persuade Miu to join us!"  You excitedly said and you both freshened up just a bit and then you knocked on Miu's door. It took a minute but the inventor soon opened the door.
"What do you two want this early in the morning?" Miu asked yawning.
"We need your help to put an end to the resurrection ritual." Kokichi explained.
"What?" Miu asked confused.
"Tenko wanted mine and Kokichi's help last night to stop Angie from doing the ritual. So Kokichi, Tenko, and I tried to do it but Angie wouldn't listen." You said sadly.
"Well no duh! She's a cult leader they don't listen!" Miu yelled.
"So we need your help because you are a genius and my best friend." You smiled.
"And you, Y/N and I as a trio would be unstoppable in this game." Kokichi smiled.

Miu looked at you and Kokichi almost as if she was trying to see if you two were lying and then she sighed. "Fine I'll join your trio and we'll stop the resurrection ritual. It's a good thing you asked me to join instead of the others because with me on your side we can't lose!"
"Now that's the spirit!" You gleefully cheered knowing that now you, Kokichi, and Miu are a trio all three of you will make it out of this game alive and you three will put an end to this stupid cult and resurrecting the dead.
   "So let's put an end to Angie's plan and we can get away from all this spooky stuff." Kokichi grinned.
"Let's do this before it's too late." You said. "Let's go Three of a Kind." You cheered and they looked at you confused.
"Is that our trio name?" Miu asked.
You nodded happily. "Yes it is!"
"We can talk about new names later but right now we got a job to do!" Kokichi grinned.
"What do you mean a new name?" You asked a bit hurt.
"I was lying I love the name. Now let's go before we can't stop the ritual." Kokichi said taking command.

You, Miu, and Kokichi were walking to Angie's ultimate lab. You explained to her how Angie won't open her lab for anyone except for the student council members and Kokichi also caught her up. After you two explained everything a question popped into your head.
"So what if the ritual does kind of work and we summon a ghost?" You asked.
"Ghosts aren't real Y/N." Miu replied.
"I know that but what if we fail at stopping the ritual and we hear a strange noise?" You asked.
"Eh it's probably just a murderer." Kokichi nonchalantly said.
"Yeah thats way more likely than a ghost here." Miu agreed.
"Yeah probably." You shrugged.

The three of you made it to Angie's lab where you saw Himiko guarding the door.
"Nyeeeeh? You guys again?" Himiko asked.
"Himiko why are you here? Are you keeping watch?" You asked.
"I wouldn't do something like that. It sounds like a pain. I just came to check on Angie." Himiko answered. "So what do you guys want? Don't tell me you came to stop Angie again."
  "Well that is the reason." You answered. "The ritual is from Monokuma we can't just let it happen."
"That's exactly right! Even if Monokuma is awesome we can't just use his motive!" Kokichi grinned.
"Well it's actually great the short magician is here. Angie won't open the door for anyone but members of the student council right?" Miu asked.
"Aww you're finally using your brain to remember important information." Kokichi teased.
"Be quiet!" Miu yelled at Kokichi and then she turned to Himiko. "Do you have a thick skull tell Angie to open it for us."
"Nyeeeh that's not possible." Himiko said.
"Not possible?" You asked confused.
"And why the heck not!?" Miu yelled gritting her teeth.
"I wanted to ask her how the ritual went. So I've been calling to her but she must be really into her work. She won't come out." Himiko sadly answered.  

     "Won't come out? Are you sure she's there!?" Miu barked.
"She should be inside both this door and the back one are locked." Himiko informed.
"Both are locked?" You asked.
  Kokichi grabbed the knob and tried to turn it but it was locked.
"It really is." You and Kokichi said in unison. 
"But the door is locked from the inside so someone is inside." Kokichi pointed out.
  "Did you get any response from her at all?" Miu asked Himiko.
"Actually...no maybe she's sleeping." Himiko thought. 
  That's when you got really creeped out by Himiko's answer. You were worried that something bad might of happened.
"Himiko! We need to get inside now!" You exclaimed.
"Nyeeeh? Why?" Himiko asked not understanding why.
"I'm so shocked by what the tabloids are reporting!" Kokichi said.  "A little birdie told me that now would be a good time to bust out my trick."
"You have a trick?" You asked. Kokichi booped your nose.
"Of course I do!" Kokichi smiled. "I can lock pick!"
"Why didn't you say that sooner!?" Miu questioned.
"I was just waiting for the right time Miu." Kokichi answered.
"Can You use your lock picking skills to get this lab door open?" You asked.
Kokichi bent over and peeked into the keyhole of the doorknob and inspected it.
"Ooh it's a cylinder lock. Now this type of lock is perfect for lock picking." Kokichi happily said.

"Please Kokichi open the lock!" You pleaded.
"It's rude to pick a lock without permission." Himiko said.
"Who cares about permission just pick the stupid lock!" Miu yelled.
"Exactly now's not the time for that! Something might've happened to Angie!" You yelled.
"Sorry Himiko Im only doing this because my girlfriend and Miu are threatening me." Kokichi grinned and pulled out some thin needles and stuck them into the keyhole of the lock.  You were waiting for him to be done and as quick as he started you heard the lock clock.
"Open says me." Kokichi grinned.

"That simple?" You said in awe.
"Neeheehee not to brag but I am the Ultimate Supreme Leader y'know." Kokichi said.
"Lock picking seems to be something a petty thief does." Miu said.
"Aaaaack! That cuts real deep Miu!" Kokichi laughed.
"Let's just get inside." You said and when you got near the door you realized that your heart was pounding and your palms were sweating from fear.  Kokichi and Miu walked next to you awaiting for you to open the door and you took a deep breath in and you reached for the door trying to not show how nervous you really are. You turned the doorknob and pushed the door and you saw a sight you would never be able to forget....
