Chapter 18: Magic Show Disaster

You three were on your way to the magic show in the gym and you definitely didn't want to watch a magic show.
"Come on Y/N this will be fun." Kokichi grinned grabbing your hand.
"I don't think so." You sighed.
"I'm actually excited for this let's see if it fails!" Miu laughed.
"You're a debby downer today." Kokichi complained to you. "But I promise I'll cheer you up somehow!"
"You being here cheers me up." You flirted and gave him a wink.
"Awww." Kokichi said.

Eventually the three of you made it inside and it was a lot nicer than you expected it to be. The curtains that were sewn and all the decor it looked amazing.   You then noticed that Kokichi started to shudder and you saw his face when he looked at Gonta it was like he was going to pass out.
"I can't make it to this one sorry Y/N but tell me all about it." Kokichi said with a sick sound in his voice.
"Do you want me to-" You began.
"No no I'll be fine just give me a few minutes to rest." Kokichi said and then exited the building leaving you a bit worried.
"He'll be fine." Miu reassured you.
"I hope so." You said.

"What is this device I've never seen something like this." Miu said in awe. "I'm really excited!"
"Are you excited Y/N?" Shuichi asked.
"I'm more worried about my boyfriend." You sighed.
"I'm sure he will be okay." Shuichi smiled.

After a bit more talking you noticed the piranha tank and you were a bit worried at that sight. But the show was about to begin and you saw Tenko who was so worried about Himiko and you felt bad.   You also noticed that Maki, Kokichi, Ryoma, and Kaito are no where to be found.
"Thank you Atua for being with us today!" Angie announced.
"Booo! Boooooooo!! You're suppose to thank us first!" Tenko heckled.
"Nyahaha I present to you the mysterious the miraculous the amazing Himiko!" Angie announced.
"The magic I will perform today is the extreme water magic." Himiko said nervously. "Underwater escape act."
"If you would please turn your attention to the water tank in front of you!" Angie smiled. "When the timer above the stage starts Himiko will enter the water tank. Once she's in the tank her assistant me! Will draw the curtain in front of the tank. After 60 seconds have passed on the timer. A separate suspended tank will open and drop in a school of piranhas! Oh my goodness! After the piranhas have fallen and the curtain is open if by some miracle Himiko has been gobbled up please give a big round of applause! Juuust kidding it's a joke!"
"I'm concerned about Himiko she is not responding properly to Angie's jokes." Kirumi sadly stated.

You agreed with Kirumi you were very nervous for Himiko you couldn't imagine being in her shoes.
"Gonta worry Gonta have bad feeling." Gonta frowned.
It was fine for the magic show to start and you were watching it happen before your eyes and your palms were starting to sweat watching the timer and Tenko kept asking if she was alright. Gonta ran on the stage trying to save Himiko from the piranhas but it was too late.
"Hurry! Open the curtains!" Tenko shouted in horror.
"Got it. I'm opening it now!" Angie said as if she wasn't worried or scared about Himiko's safety.
When Angie opened the curtains we watched in horror as we saw Ryoma dead in the tank. You covered your mouth in horror.  You couldn't process this mess properly. You then heard the body discovery announcement and everyone who wasn't here raced to the gym.
"What's going on?!" Kaito shouted.
"I-I don't know! I don't know what happened!" Tenko shouted.
"We should break the tank right? We gotta check what's inside." Kokichi smirked.
"Ryoma was killed." You bluntly stated you began to remember the time at the casino and you felt horrible. "Ryoma I promise I'll avenge you."

"What break it?" Tsumugi asked.
"Yeah it will take too long to dry." Kokichi answered.
"But what would we even use to break-" Shuichi began.
"Gonta! Kee-boy! You're up!" Kokichi called out.
"What do you mean?" K1-B0 asked shocked.
"Gonta throw Kee-boy as hard as you can! Use that robot like a battering ram!" Kokichi ordered.
"Who are you calling a battering ram!?" K1-B0 shouted.
"Gonta throw K1-B0! Got it!" Gonta agreed.
"Then I'll help too!" Tenko yelled.
"Now wait just a second you done need to team up now!" K1-B0 shouted but it was already too late.  The sound was intense  and everyone cleaned up enough to start investigating.
  "This wasn't an accident was it? Does this mean the killing game has started again?" Maki asked.

"The killing game never ended." You sighed.
"H-how!? How... could this happen!?" Kokichi asked. "We swore to each other didn't we? We swore we'd never let the killing game start up again. So that was all just a lie! You guys are liars!" Kokichi cried but his tears seemed genuine. "All the liars apologize to Ryoma! He believed the killing game wouldn't happen anymore!"
"Your disingenuous tears mark you as the liar right now." Korekiyo commented.
"Oh you figured it out? You've got a pretty good eye there Kiyo." Kokichi smiled but you had a feeling that he was covering up his true feelings.
Monokuma and the monokubs appeared saying how they were waiting for the game to start up again and then left and finally it was time to begin the investigation.
"In any event let us begin the investigation." Korekiyo said.

"Investigation so it's really going to start again." K1-B0 said in fear.
"It has to if we don't guess correctly then we know what happens." You frowned.
"I can't believe it one of us killed Ryoma." Tsumugi sighed.
"No more Gonta no wanna investigate friends no wanna suspect friends." Gonta said.
"We have to because there's a traitor among us because real friends wouldn't give in." You stated.
"I'm not going to investigate." Maki said.
"Why not?" You questioned.
"You'll be fine if you're short a person and I doubt a child caregiver would be much help." Maki sighed and went away.
"Wait! Maki!" Shuichi yelled but she didn't even turn around she just kept walking.
"What is that girl's problem!? She's seriously not gonna investigate?!" Miu yelled.
"That seems rather irresponsible." K1-B0 commented.

"She likely assumes someone else will take care of it and I suppose she isn't wrong." Korekiyo said.
"Well I'll have a talk with Maki later. For now we should start investigating." Kaito said. "I'm seriously mad we gotta do this but it's our only chance to survive."
"Yup I'll do my very best too!" Kokichi assured. "Gonta and I have to work especially hard so we can regain everyone's trust and my beloved Y/N and I can solve any mystery!"
"You bet we can." You smiled.
"But we don't need to investigate it's pretty obvious who the culprit is." Kokichi smirked.
"What?" Shuichi asked.
"Ryoma was murdered during a certain little magical girl's show right? So I think we need to be a little more suspicious of that little magical girl." Kokichi smirked.
"But we don't know for sure!" You interjected. "We have to investigate and piece the clues together and then we can see the whole picture of what occurred. So let's give everyone a fair trial until we find some evidence."
"Huh I would imagine the ultimate detective to say that instead." Kokichi laughed. "But my beloved is so smaaart anyway! If you let me finish she's so suspicious that it seems not suspicious. But then again she's made herself look not suspicious so now she's super suspicious!"

"Geez shaddup already! How dare you toy with Himiko's pure heart!?" Tenko yelled.
"Pure? Give me a break look around none of our hearts are 100% pure! We don't know if she's innocent but we also don't know if she's guilty and if she is guilty you better be prepared to vote for her." You warned and glared at her.
"Also she said Himiko didn't you? But I never mentioned her name." Kokichi pointed out.
"Ahhhhh! Shaddup shaddup you two!" Tenko yelled putting her hands over her ears.
"Himiko can you at least tell us the trick behind the Underwater Escape Act?" Kokichi asked.
"If we know the trick then we can try to figure out who did it."' You said.
"It's impossible." Himiko said.
"Why?" Shuichi asked.
"There's no trick because it was my magic." Himiko said.
"Hahahahaa! How long is she gonna keep saying that?!" Miu laughed.

After talking for a few more minutes everyone decided to officially start investigating and you were a bit nervous but you knew you had to get this right because your life and everyone else's life is at stake.
