Bridesmaid #1

It's coming to the end of our day at Sway and I still want to ask Addi to be one of my bridesmaids. Even though we haven't been friends for very long Addi has become one of my close friends. She's always there to support me and help if I needed someone to come with me who wasn't Quinn go smash up a car or go on a 3am drive she would be down. The thought makes me smile. I look across the room over to Addison and Bryce who are just watching something on his phone, most probably a TikTok.

I place my hand on Bryan's thigh, squeezing gently before pushing up and standing. I move around the coffee table and walk over to them. Once close enough I lean down to Addi and whisper 'Come outside with me for a second. I need to speak with you.' I pull back and she smiles whilst nodding. We walk together outside onto the patio sitting down next to each other on the out door sofa.

Skylar 'Thanks for coming over to hang with me today Addi. You've really made today fun.'

Addison 'Anytime Sky. That's what friends do.'

Skylar 'So I need to ask you something.'

Addison 'Okay, should I be worried?' She teases.

Skylar 'No but I do need to get something before I ask you. Give me two seconds to run and grab it.'

Addison 'Okay. Take all the time you need.'

I rush back into the house and grab the box of brought with me. It contained a few treats inside for her when I asked her. I head back out side and side down beside her.

Addison 'Is everything okay?'

Skylar 'Yeah, I just want to ask you something?' I repeat, I think she's actually nervous.

Addison nods her head and waits for me to continue with my question. Instead I hand her the box first and then say 'I was wondering if you would like to be one of my bridesmaids when Bryan and I get married on July 18th in Hawaii?'

Addison squeals in excitement as she pulls me into a hug, shouting 'hell yeah' near my ear. I laugh and hug her back before pulling away so she can open the gift.

She opens the box to see the following written on the lid of the box :-
I've found my perfect partner but that doesn't mean I don't still need my girls.
Please come on this next adventure with me and help me say 'I Do'
Will you be my bridesmaid?

Addison looks up and over to me smiling, her eyes shimmering with some tears. 'Your remarkable Sky you know that? You really are sweet. Of course I will!!' I smile and then try to encourage her to continue on and actually open the first inside the box.

We spend the remainder of the time outside talking about everything from the wedding, the honeymoon, the next girls night watching movies and eating a shit ton of fast food.

A short while later Bryan pops his head through the door 'Babe, You ready to head out?' I smile and nod. I say goodbye to Addi and then get up to leave with Bryan. Stopping to say goodbye to Dixie, Noah and Bryce.
I give Bryce a hug and whisper into his ear 'Look after her okay? She's special and you deserve to be happy' he give me a tight squeeze before stepping back so we can leave.

Thirty minutes later after some typical LA traffic we are pulling up into our drive. I look over to Bryan who is lost in his own thoughts 'What are you thinking about, handsome?' I ask him intrigued. 'You. Me. Us.' He whispers before turning to look at me. 'Do you ever have moments during the day when you feel like your dreaming? Like all of this isn't actually real?' I smile and reach over placing my hand on his cheek, my thumb stroking his skin. 'Of course I do baby. I'm living my dream life, every second with you feels like a fantasy. I don't think it's legal to be this happy. Let alone insanely in love.' I watch as he breaks into a huge smile. I unbuckle my belt before leaning across the unit between us and pressing my lips to his. 'Now, let's head inside and get to bed. If your a good boy we can watch your favourite film?'
