Today marks another day in my history

Today marks another day in my history. In a world that has given me so much heartache and torture, I'm holding the final placeholder in my hands to a name that I've both loved and hated. Skylar Star Rivers.

My final album is under my artist name Skylar Rivers. Today marks a day in my life where I can finally break free of the binds that my parents once held over me. As I am letting go of that name completely in all aspects of my life. Both personally and now professionally.

Although my parents have never contributed to the worth of my name other than giving it to me I want to cut all ties with them. I don't want them to feel like they are entitled to bask in any of my success or the success of my husband.

So as I look down at my album cover and the post I have written on my insta account I'm smiling high. Like the sun when it rises from the east before setting in the sky.

I might have only told Bryan a week or so ago about changing my artist name to match my other accounts but I might have left out so critical information.

All my current accounts have been changed to 'Mrs Skylar Rivers-Williams' but I've decided to change both my artist name (a list name) and Writer/Blogging name to 'Mrs Skylar Williams' excluding the name I've held on to for the past twenty-three years'

Flipping down into my oversized swivel chair I place the cover on top of my desk so I can unlock my phone and post on my story.

In the past, I have always made a post with the details and the count down to preorder but with this, I feel like I need to give them more of a heads up. Plus, it will get some heat and attention from both Bryan and I's fans - the rumour mill will probably go wild until I make my next official post.

Laughing at how I know my post is going to drive our fans wild I pocket my phone and head downstairs hunting for my husband.

After searching every room downstairs I head back up to the second floor, heading for his office. As I approach I can hear him talking to someone on the phone. His deep husky voice sent sparks of desire throughout my body. As I step under the doorframe I lean against it, pushing my hip out as I fold my arms beneath my chest. Smiling as I watched him talk business. Blissfully unaware of my presence, or of being watched.
