We returned home late yesterday afternoon both of us were jet-lagged, feeling tired from the change in time zone.
Who knew an eight hour time shift could be so damn tiring! I've travelled the flight three times and yet each time it knocks me for six and I somehow forget about it.
After we returned back to the house we were instantly greeted by Chris and Bella. Bella had prepared us a home-cooked meal with Chris as her sous chef. Our dinning room table had be set with a purple runner down the middle with matching placemats. Looking into the room had me smiling instantly - it looked like something out of a catalog.
I made a mental note to take Bella out for drinks to show my gratitude. Not only for the meal but for looking after the house and Teddy. To whom we all know is a fire cracker especially when unattended. She might be his partner in life but I'm sure she's had to deal with things she wasn't expecting whilst we were away.
Being back home in our safe haven is heavenly. From the warmth and smells around us offering comfort and peace. Something that I never realised I needed until stepping foot into this house again. As much as I love living out here in LA I don't think this house has every really felt like home until we stepped throw the door as husband and wife.
I guess know all that's left for us to do is fill the empty rooms upstairs with babies.
Thought I'm not sure my handsome husband is ready for that quite yet and I'm still trying to determine if I'm ready to be a mom. We have so many things checked of our lifts that a normal parent would have to worry about and yet my heart races and my blood thickens when I entertain the notion of having a baby.
I know we will have kids in the future, that's a given. I will only ever have kids with Bryan but I'm unsteady about how far in the future I want that to be.
I'm not ignoring what Bryan had said to my parents back in London about our future babies but even so I still have anxieties around the topic.
Chris abs Bella spent a few hours with us when we got home. Giving us all the details of what's been happening at home and within the our industry. Nothing to crazy for us to worry about, other than the questions they have been getting about our wedding and when they will have another album from me. To which Chris and Bella have said 'why ruin the surprise'
Chris also might had dropped a bombshell of his own to us just before leaving. Something about him asking Bella to marry him. And she said YES!
I laughed with Bella when we turned to see Bryan's reaction. His thinking blue eyes were wide with surprise as his eyes flicked between his little brother and his bride to be.
