      Nathalie's  POV:

I knew it had been two days since I last visited Adrien.

I might as well get this over with now.

It was not as if the whole situation was any easier for me.

I saw  Adrien as the child I never had or would have.

I found out years ago I could not have children.

It was why my fiance left me and how I came to work for Mr. Agreste.

I felt like I owed it to Adrien to keep his father from messing up his life more than he had already.

"Hi, how are you this morning?"

        I  heard Adrien groan.

Was he in pain?  I certainly hoped not.

"I am here to talk about the information that I gave you when I came a few days ago."

I could tell by the confused look in his eyes he did not appear to understand.

Great, this is harder than I thought.

"I came to discuss the trial with you."

I saw his face as it turned to a frown.  I wondered what it was that disturbed him?  Was it the word trial or what?

"Did she come with you?"  I heard Adrien ask.

I  raised an eyebrow at the word she.

I had not the foggiest idea who he referred to at that moment.

        "By she, you mean?"

I  listened as he spoke about the young lady who often wore her hair pack in pigtails but occasionally wore it down, in a bun, or a ponytail. I could tell by the description he meant his friend, Marinette Dupain-Cheng.  I felt bad for him that I couldn't tell him the words he hoped to hear.

"I am sorry, Adrien, but Marinette did not come with me."
