Chapter Nineteen

CHAPTER NINETEEN

WHEN THE right time comes and I can finally confess my true feelings to him— pwede na akong ma-deads. Joke! I still cannot imagine myself confessing.

Nandito ako ngayon sa may guest room at katabi si Tin na parang tuko kung makayakap sa akin at natutulog. Una, sa kwarto talaga nila niya ako gusto matulog pero it's a no! Syempre, personal space nila 'yon ni Alpha Avery kaya pinilit ko nga 'tong si Pristine na dito nalang kami. Naki-sagap muna siya ng chismis sa'kin bago mapagod at nag-aya ng matulog. She would teased me na kumekerengkeng na raw ako— I didn't argue with that kasi totoo naman talaga.

Beforehand, nag-agawan pa sila ni Amari sa'kin nang kukunin na ako ni Tin pero wala ring nagawa si Amari kasi sinabi ko to just let me be with Tin for a moment habang si Alpha Avery naman ay nakanguso lang bago tumingin kay Thylan na may ngisi sa labi na nakatingin sa Tatay niya. Mukhang may balak sa Daddy n'ya. Iba talaga ang batang 'yon, sometimes, I wonder kung saan siya pinaglihi ni Tin— but then I realized— nasa dugo 'yon ng nanay niya.

And now, here I am and I still cannot sleep and thinking of when will I be brave enough to confess it to Amari. Napabuntong hininga na lamang ako at sinubukang matulog.

I furrowed my brows when I heard a soft thud at biglang parang lumamig nang may hangin na pumasok. Kinilabutan ako. May multo ba sa guest room na 'to? I looked at Tin na ang sarap ng tulog.

I froze on my spot when something hot fanned on my exposed ear from the side.

"Queen."

I was about to scream when a large hand covered my mouth and when I get a glimpse of a man's silhouette and its features ay kumalma ako nang mapagtanto kung sino 'to and when he saw me relaxing he finally uncovered my mouth.

"What are you doing here?" I whispered while glancing at Tin na tulog-mantika pa rin.

Umupo ito sa sahig at halos naging ka-lebel ko na ito. The moon's light was illumating the half of his face. Then, he pouted. "I was not able to kiss you goodnight." He said that somehow stunned me before my heart melted.

Well, for a week, it has become a habit of us to kiss goodnight and even in morning. Sineryoso ko 'yung sinabi ni Lola at nauto ko naman 'tong si Amari at nadala. Joke! Nah, but, really he was fond of it.

"Hay naku. Come closer." I motioned and before I could even move a little he already made his way on my lips and kissed me— it is just a simple pressing of lips but have sent voltage of electricity in me.

He drawn back after a second before kissing my forehead briefly. "Good night, my love. I'll see you tomorrow, yeah?" He whispered softly. I smiled at him even though I am not so sure if he can see it.

I nodded and hummed in response. "Sana bukas na." Sagot naman niya. "And I'll make sure that Luna de lata would not be able to see you."   He continued and kissed my cheeks.

"'Di ba sa office ka rito, tomorrow? She'll know probably." I told him.

"Nah. Nagkasundo na kami ni Alpha and he will distract Tin at magkukulong tayo sa office ko." He even said proudly kaya nanlaki ang mga mata ko at gusto s'yang singhalan pero nakakapit pa rin at sobrang lapit pa rin ni Tin sa'kin.

"Amari." I whispered firmly but I heard him chuckled slightly.

"Good plan, I know." He said before pressing his lips on mine for a brief moment. "Go on, have a sleep already. Good night again, my love. See ya tomorrow." He muttered at bago pa ako makapagsalita ay mabilis na 'tong nakapunta sa may bintana at marahan pa 'yong sinara bago ako kindatan.
