Chapter 21: You're Awake!

Naruto Pov

It's been a couple of weeks since I left the hospital and went back to school. Everyone was really happy to see me back and well. During my time back at school everybody who had the chance asked me about the explosion, I didn't really want to talk about it so most of the time I would just ignore them until I'm actually ready to talk about it.... which will probably be a while. Sasuke still hasn't waken up from his coma yet, so I go see him every chance I get. I sometimes go with the guys and Itachi, but most of the times I go alone.

I was walking down the hall on my way to my last class for the day. I took out my phone and went into my messages to text Itachi had texted me back. He's been keeping me posted every time he went to see Sasuke without me and I'm thankful for him doing that. I sighed when I read the message, the same response every time: "He's still hasn't made any moves yet...I'll let you know when something changes." I just put my phone back in my pocket and started making my way to class again. I reached the class room and carefully went to my seat, put my crutches beside my desk. I was suppose to get my cast off a couple of weeks ago... but the doctor said that I should keep it on a while longer cause it was still healing. Sooooo this weekend it'll come off for sure. Kiba had noticed me and came over to my desk. "Hey Naruto, how ya feeling?" I look over to him and gave him a small smile. "I'm doing alright...just wanna get out of here and go to the hospital to see him." He nodded and went over to sit in Sasuke's seat. Then he said in a low and soft voice: "I'm sure he'll make it out of that coma... and we'll all be there when he does." He patted my shoulder. I smiled and thanked him. The bell ranged meaning class is starting. 'Please let this class be fast....'

Class was finally over, which means I can leave this place and go straight to the hospital! I hurried and grabbed all of my belongings, putting them in my back and grabbing crutches quickly. I must've been going a little to quickly cause I tripped, but luckily someone caught me before I could hit the ground. I turned around to see Sai. My eyes went wide when I saw him. "Sai!!" He smiled and grabbed my crutches for me so I don't go falling again. "What's the rush there? Going to hang out with the guys today?" "Whaa Oh! Ummm no. I'm going to the hospital to see Sasuke." "He still hasn't woken up yet?" "No... he did get hurt more then I did so I guess that's why he hasn't woke up yet." "I see, well I wish him the best of luck." He turns and begins to walk off but before he did, I grabbed the back of his shirt. "Are you busy Sai? If not you can come with me." "I love to, but I have to be somewhere with the family today maybe next time okay." He said as he kissed my forehead. I just nodded and watch him walkaway. 'I guess he's not mad at me anymore...I guess. I was a little mean to him... well that was because I was mad...'

~Flashback~

It's finally time for me to go home. It's going to feel so great to back home with Granny and back to school with all my friends and my favorite teachers. I had a big smile on my face as I was getting all my clothes together. As I was putting my clothes away, I heard a knock on the door. "Come in!" The door open and Itachi had came in. I smiled wider. "Hey Naruto, how are you?" "Itachi! I'm doing really great! I'm finally going home. How's Sasuke doing? Anything new with his health?" I asked hoping there would be a different answer. He gave me a sad smile. "Sadly there's nothing different with Sasuke, he is still in his coma." "Oh..." He came over to my bed and sat down next to me. "I know... I wish he was awake too." I just nodded and sighed. Sasuke, please wake up soon.

An hour later, Itachi said his goodbyes and went back to Sasuke. He told me Deidara was also here too but he stood with Sasuke. Then a little later Granny had came to the hospital to pick me up. I was really happy to see her, so happy to go home. She came up to me and gave me a hug. "You ready to go? I bet you're sick of this place." She laughs a little. I laugh and nodded to her question. "Yeah, I have all my things packed and ready to get out of here." She grabbed my bag and handed me my crutches. The doctor said I have to come back on Saturday to get my cast removed, which will be great. Can't wait to get this thing off my leg and I wont need these stupid things anymore.
