Chapter 9: Working and Talking

Sasuke Pov

I heard the bell rang telling us that school was done for the day. I sighed and got up from my seat and grabbed my bag and started to head out the door until Kakashi stopped us. "Remember guys, tomorrow is a full day of school so I hope you either remember the classes you got or you still have your Class Schedule that I handed out to you yesterday. That's all, Enjoy the rest of your day and see you all tomorrow." He sits back down and pulled out that book that he's always reading. I rolled my eyes and walked out of the classroom. As I was making my way to the school gate, I was stopped by a certain blonde. "Sasuke, since we have the same classes for most of the day, I can walk with you! Plus I think you'll need help getting to class anyway since you dont know the way around the school yet" He says with the biggest smile. I smirked at him and ruffled his hair. "Sure sounds like a plan, I know you have plans so you should get going. See you tomorrow." I walked around him and started to make my way to the school gate once again.

I was making my way back home when I heard a car honk at me. I turned to my left to see it was Deidara. I gave him a small smile and walk over to his car. He rolled his window down and smiled at me. " Hey Sasuke, funny seeing you here. You on your way home?" "I was but I wanted to stop by the company to see Itachi." "Oh I'm heading there now, I'll be happy to give you a ride." "Sure, that would be nice, thanks." I walked to the other side of the car and got in and put my seatbelt on e started to drive to the company. "So how are you and Itachi? Are things still weird between you guys or....." He sighs an puts a sad smile on his face. "Things are.... okay I guess. We do talk but just as co-workers... Not as friends." "Are you still mad that he didn't say anything to you when we first moved? Or when our parents died?" He stops at a red light and looks at me and sighs. "Yeah, I am still kind of mad that he didnt tell about the move or about your parents.... but it was a long time ago so I just decided to get over it." He looks forward again and starts to drive.

A couple of minutes have passed and we made it to the office. I got out of the car and thanked Deidara for the ride. "Thanks for the ride again." "It's no problem. If you need a ride call me anytime. Here's my phone number." He gets out a piece of paper and a pen and writes down his number and hands it to me. "Thanks, I guess I'll see you before I leave the building." "Yeah, maybe. Enjoy your visit." I started walking to the entrance of the building while he was still in is car getting a few things he needed for work. I walking in the to see people walking and talking on the phone. "Yo Pain I'm here to see my brother, where is he?" He looks up from his computer and smiles at me. "Well if it isn't my favorite person. I missed you buddy. Where have you been?" "Away from you, now tell me where my brother is cause I want to see him." I said a little annoyed. I really cant stand this guy.

His smiled turned into a smirked and went back behind his desk to call someone to see where Itachi was at. As I was waiting for him to tell me, Deidara came up next to me to pick up some papers. " He sometimes doesn't take his job to seriously...." "I can tell." He smiles and walks off with papers. I went to go sit down when I heard a bunch of papers fall on the floor. "Oh Sorry Deidara, let me help pick these up." "Oh no its fine, you dont have too...." I looked over to see it was Itachi. 'Deidara is still not comfortable around him...' They got all the papers and stood up. "Thanks..." "No problem" They just stood there for a couple of seconds until Deidara just walked off. 'He didnt even look him in the eyes..' I got up and made my way to Itachi. "Itachi...." "Oh Sasuke, I didnt even know you were here. How long were you here?" "I was here for about 10 minutes. I thought that Pain in the ass over there was calling for you" I looked over at him and he just smirked and winked at me. 'Ew...' "Well, lets go to my office.

We made it to his office door. He gets his key out of his pocket and unlocks it. I went in and took a look around his office then I sat down in his chair at his desk. He smiles. "You know that's my chair." "Yeah, but it wont hurt to let me sit in it once" He laughs and sits down in the chair across me. "I'm just gonna get straight to the point.... What's going on with you and Deidara? He couldn't even look you in the eye earlier...." "Nothing is g---" "That's the problem. Nothing. You dont talk to him which makes him not talk to you and when you guys do talk its awkward or its about work. It just makes him more uncomfortable." "...." I sigh and got up from the chair and went to go sit on the edge of the desk. "Look, I know I might be annoying right now but you have to talk to him. Sit down with him and have a long talk with him. You guys used to be so close as long as I can remember. He misses you and I know damn well you miss him so talk to him." He looks up at me and gives me a sad smile. "Dont worry I will. When did you become so grown?" "What are you talking about, Ive always been grown." He smiles and I smirked.
