Chapter 17: Hanging out

Naruto Pov

~Two Month Time Skip~

"Uggghh. I wish it could be Friday already, I want to sleep." I sighed while leaning against a tree with Sasuke and the others. Sasuke had started to hangout with the group more and it makes me happy to see him smiling around the group (but not as much as he does around me.) Kiba laughed and said: "I think that's all we want to do on Fridays, but it also been a while since we all hanged out as a group how about we do something this weekend?" Everyone went silent for a couple seconds. I was the first one to speak. "Sorry, can't this weekend. Me and Sai already planned to go to the mall on Saturday and also spend the next day watching movies." Then Sasuke spoke. "I have to help my brother at work with something..." Then everyone else said they were busy too. Kiba let out a long sigh and fell onto his back on the grass. I got off the tree and made my way to him. "How about next weekend? I'm pretty sure nobody made plans by then..." He got up pretty fast, almost bumping into my head.

I moved away pretty quickly and landed right on Sasuke. I looked up at him and he had a surprised look on his face. I blushed really hard and got up quickly. "Sorry about that Sasuke. I just wasn't trying to get my head cracked open by a certain someone." I glanced over at Kiba who had a smirk on his face. I look back over at Sasuke, who seems to have a cool collective look on his face. "It's alright Naruto, as long as nobody got hurt." He said as he looked over at Kiba, who laughed a bit and then winked at Sasuke. 'Did Kiba just...winked? And at Sasuke too?!' Sasuke just rolled his eyes and got up from the grass. "Going to the bathroom.... See you guys in class since it starts in a couple of minutes...." "I'll text you later Sasuke! Have to tell you something!" He didn't look back and just gave a wave meaning he understands.

I watched Sasuke leave and took a big long deep breath, let it out a couple of seconds later then sat right back down next to Sai who was quiet the whole time. Shikamaru chimed in and said: "So Kiba before you almost had cracked Naruto's head open---" "Oh Yeah! Like my good buddy Naruto said, you guys probably and hopefully didn't make plans next week, how about hanging out then? It'll be real nice to get the gang together." "Yeah, we'll be sure to keep that weekend open to hang out." Shikamaru had said while laying on the grass with his eyes closed. I nodded and smiled at him. 'I wonder what he wants to talk to Sasuke about...' I let the thought go and just forgot about it, as it was non of my business and I would hate to intrude.

After a few minutes later, the bell decided to ring telling us that it was time to go back to class. I groaned and grabbed my bag from the ground. I looked down to Sai to see him still on the grass with his phone in his face and headphones in his ears. I sighed. "Hey Naruto you coming? You don't wanna be late for class!" "I'll be there in a few...." He stares at me then looks down at Sai with a look... a look that wasn't happy. He nods and walks off to class. I know Kiba still doesn't like Sai. I think that all started when Sai told me to stop hanging out with Kiba cause Sai thought he had a crush on me. I sighed and lightly kicked Sai's shoe. No response. I bended down to his level and took one of his headphones off. He seemed startled by what I did.

He took the other one out of his ear and locked his phone so I ca have his full attention. "The bell ranged like 5 minutes ago...You were to into your phone to notice I guess." I said in a soft tone and smile. He looked at his phone to check the time I guess. "Oh wow, I didn't realize it was that late." He said while he was getting up from the ground and grabbing his bag. He started walking and I followed. He unlocked his phone and started texting. I made my way next to him and took his phone. "Hey Naruto---" "You been on your phone the whole lunch period without saying anything to anyone, I'm holding your phone until the end of the day." I said and put his phone in my pocket. He just looked at me and sighed. "I don't really understand why this is necessary.." then he didn't say anything else to me until we got to class. 'You never understand now and days...' I thought.
