Chapter 14:What Happened?

Naruto Pov

It's Sai! I looked at my phone while it ringed. 'What's wrong with me? Why am I not picking up the phone?!' After the phone rings three more times it stops. I sighed and looked at Sasuke then looked back at my phone seeing if he would call again. "How come you didn't pick up? You've been waiting for his call all day...." He said in a monotone voice. I looked at him and shrugged my shoulders and was about to put my phone back into my pocket when it decided to ring again. I looked at my phone once again then looked at Sasuke. "Go ahead, I'm not stopping you." He turned around towards the door and started walking. I just stood there gripping my phone like it was the last thing that I owned. "Sasuke...." He stops and turns towards me. "I'll see you in class." As soon as those words came out he left. "What's wrong with me?...." I sighed and finally picked up the phone.

Sai: Naruto! How come you didnt pick up the first time?! I thought somethi----

Naruto: How come you didn't come to school today? I understand that you could've slept in too late to make it too school but still... I texted you multiply times and you did not answer not one of them! Not a single one! Do you know how worried I was ALL day?!

Sai: Yes I know I know, I'm sorry I didn't text you back that was my mistake...

Naruto:(Takes deep breath) Yeah but still Sai,I understand that you could've slept in too late to make it too school but still... if you had woken up in the slightest bit you should still had texted me. I was worried all day...Even Ino didnt come to school.

Sai: What? What do you mean She didn't?

Naruto: Yeah she didnt come either I texted her this morning during class but didn't get an answer back either,I hope she's feeling okay. But I guess it was an okay day cause I was with everyone else and Sasuke so I didn't have a bad day.

Sai:.... So you were hanging out with the new kid today, You guys are getting pretty close....

Naruto: Okayyyy,what's that suppose to mean? We are friends.

Sai: Don't you think you guys are a little to close?

Naruto: Sai dont even go there. You always say that when im close with somebody and to be honest it's getting annoying! For goodness sakes it's only been a couple of days, You even did this to Kiba after a couple of weeks. It needs to stop. I can hang out with whoever I please and if you have a problem then I'll come over and we'll talk about it.

Sai: Fine whatever you say....

Naruto: (Sighs) Sometimes I feel like you don't even care anymore Sai... Talk to you later.

I hung up and held my phone tightly as I did before. I backed up against a wall and slid down it and sat on the ground. I pull my knees up to my chest and buried my face in them. 'I always talk and show about how good me and Sai are doing but deep down.... There's something wrong with us, but I just dont know what and it's killing me. Maybe I should talk to someone about it...but who?" I sighed and sat there for another 10 minutes not caring if I missed class or not. I took out my phone and looked through it for another 5 minutes until I got a text from Sasuke. "Sasuke?...."

Sasuke: I hope everything is okay up there.

Naruto: I'm okay, I dont think I'll make it to this class but I'll make it to the next class :).

I didn't get a text back so I just put my phone down and close my eyes and let the cool wind hit my face for a little while longer. A couple of seconds later I heard the door open. I looked over to see Sasuke. I gave him a small smile and he walked over to me,sat down and looked at me. "Is everything okay? The principle was asking for you." "Oh I'm fine really. Annnnyyyway I was gonna ask this a little later but since you're up here I'll ask now." He nods for me to continue. "Before you left to go back to class... how come you looked so upset?" "I... don't know myself. Sorry if it was strange." I put my hand on his shoulder and smiled big. "Oh no don't be its fine. It looks like your back to your normal bored expression again so im happy that your okay." I smiled big as he rolled his eyes and smiled a bit.
