Chapter 49: We're Staying

Naruto Pov

~A Week Later~

After talking about going with Sasuke if he moves, it's hard to bring it up to granny and the others. I dont know how they will take it...mostly granny. She probably wont even let me go. But I'm going to have to fight her on this one since I've already made up my mind! I'm a growing boy and I need to explore the world for crying out loud! "Hey man, you alright? You acting kinda weird." Kiba said as we were walking to the lunchroom. I laughed and tried to jump on his back. "I thought I was already weird?" He laughs and gives me a piggy back ride. Yes! "Yeah, but it's not your normal weird." I rolled my eyes. "I'm fine, just thinking about something." "That's dangerous." I playfully smack the back of his head and got down from his back.

We made it to the lunchroom and saw everyone already at the table. We waved at them and then got our lunches. After we got our food, we made our way to the table and sat down with everyone. "Hey Naruto, where's Sasuke?" "Itachi came and got him earlier, he needed help with something at the office." I took a bite out of my sandwich. This is actually a great time to tell them. I put my food down and got everyone's attention. "Hey guys I wanna tell you something..." They all stopped what they were doing and looked at me. Well...this is kind of uncomfortable.

I took a couple of breaths. "You alright man?" "Yeah, umm... never mind it can wait."  I said and took another bite of my food. Why the heck did I do that!? I chickened out! Now it's just going to be weird and they might ask me questions! Maybe I should've waited until Monday so Sasuke can be here while I told them, yeah I think that would be better. I just sat at the table quietly finishing my sandwich.

~End Of The School Day~

"Have a good weekend guys, see you on Monday!" "See ya Naruto, KIba." Everyone went the other way while me and head back to my place. "You sure it's okay to come over? I thought Sasuke was going over to your place." I shook my head. "He was but then his brother needed him so I told him he can come over tomorrow." "Cool. Hey, what were you going to tell us earlier? You made it seem so serious. Is everything okay?" Crap! I should've known Kiba was going to bring it up! Maybe I should at least tell him...he's been there for me since the beginning and he's always stuck by my side and he always hears me out when I need him too. I looked at him and gave him a small smile. "Everything is fine, I'll tell you at the house okay?" "Okay, no problem." I wonder what he'll think.

We made it back to my place and went straight upstairs to my room. I shut the door and put my bag in my closet then took off my shoes. Finally, home sweet home. I crashed on my bed and let out a relaxed sighed. I heard Kiba making himself comfortable on his favorite spot in my room. "So what's the news?" He gasps. "Dont tell me Sasuke got you pregnant?" I whipped my head around so fast that I thought I was going to snap my neck, I even  felt my cheeks burn up. "What the heck Kiba?! No, I'm not... pregnant!" He started laughing his butt off. Weirdo.

He stops laughing...after a good 10 minutes and calms himself down. "Are you done now?" He wipes the tears from his eyes and looks at me with a huge smile. "Yeah, yeah I'm done. So what was it that you wanted to tell me and everyone?" I really hope that he doesn't get mad. "I was thinking.. that if Sasuke and Itachi ever move..." He sits up in the chair. "Yeah...." "I'm going with them." He didnt say anything. I didnt say anything. Kiba say something... anything! "Going with them...as in leaving when or if they leave?" I nod slowly. He sighs and rubs the back of his neck.

He gets off the chair and sits next to me on the bed. He leaned forward and hugged me tightly. "If that's what you want to do Naruto, then I'm happy for you." I lifted up my hand and gripped the back of his shirt. "Really?" "Of course! Your following your heart, I can't stop you from doing what you want to do. You want to be with someone you love! I look up to you when it comes to this type of stuff man!" Kiba. I cry into his shoulder. "Be happy Naruto. If that time ever comes, hoping it wont, know that I'm going to miss you a lot and I'm glad to call you my best friend. Even though Sasuke was your best friend too, I was your first best friend." I laughed a little. "You will always be my first best friend Kiba."
