Chapter 32: Movie Night

Sasuke Pov

We were all still sitting on the couch except for Kiba. He was looking for a scary movie for us to watch. He had suggested that we watch a scary movie with all the lights off before he had to leave. Sakura left a while ago so it was just us three. I didn't mind but Naruto wasn't to keen on the idea. I just smirked while he was trying to talk Kiba out of the idea. "Come on Kiba! Can't we just watch a regular movie instead of a scary one?" "Nope. Scary movies are best to watch at night, you know that." He said as he kept looking through the DVDs. Naruto crossed his arms and sighed then sat back on the couch with an unamused face. I felt his eyes in my and heard him say: "Where's Itachi? I thought he would be home by now." "Yeah, he texted me a while ago... he has to stay late at the office." He gave me a sad look. "Its' fine... I'm used to it." I said while looking at the Tv. "You know Sasuke," He said in a low and soft voice. I looked at him giving him my attention. "You can always call me if you want company when Itachi can't make it home. Oh! and you know that you're always welcomed to come over to my place." He said with a sweet smile. I smiled back and nodded towards him.

5 minutes have passed and Kiba had finally picked out a movie we all can watch. Hereditary. Ah, I remember this movie. Itachi came back from the mall with this and asked me if I wanted to watch it with him. I said yeah and I must say...It was really great. "Hereditary, Yo! I've heard about this movie so many times but never got a chance to see it!" I nodded. "It's a really great movie, but it's almost two hours long..." "Are you kidding me!? Uggh Okay, let me call my parents and let them know that the movie is gonna be long. They might end up picking me up..." He sighs as he gets up from the floor and makes his way to the kitchen. I stayed seated in the couch while Naruto went over to the floor and grabbed the case. "So... Is this movie based on a true story or no?" I raised my eyebrow and smirked towards him. 'I see that he's still a little self-conscious from before.' I got up, leaned on the table and gave him a straight answer. "No Naruto...It's not based on a true story." He let out a breath and put the case down on the table. "That's good... no need for that kind of stuff." "Yeah... we'll save those kinds of movies for Halloween or something." He just nods his head and gave a nervous smile.

Kiba came back with a bowl of popcorn and some drinks. He puts them on the table and sits on the couch next to me a little to close. "So I have good news and bad news. Good news is that I can stay for the movie. Bad news is that I can only stay for half of it so let's get this movie started!" He got up fromt he couch... again and turned off all the lights in the house. He came back and this time he sat on the single chair. I sat where I was before. Naruto got off the floor and sat down right beside me. Not to close but not to far. I looked at him and he looked back at me. "I hope you don't mind me sitting here.." He said with his nervous smile. I shook my head and put my attention to the Tv. "Not at all."

~1 Hour And 54 Minutes Later~

We were all quietly watching the movie, no one making a move or a sound. I turned to Kiba to see him really focus on the movie then turned to see him finally looking interested in the movie. I leaned over to him and whispered: "It looks like you're enjoying the movie huh..." He turns towards me and smiles. "Yeah, I may be against scary movies but if they are good then I have no problem." "Unless it's based on a true story..." He just looked at me and turned back to the movie. Minutes later, Kiba's phone started to ring. Naruto hurried off the couch and paused the movie. He took out his phone and answered it. "Hello?....Hey mom, you outside?... Okay, be out in a minute." He hung up and sat up to put on his shoes. "Man, I wish I didn't have to leave, the movie is almost over too! I would like to ask to spend the night but my parents wouldn't like that on a school night... mostly my mom." He out on his shoes, got up and grabbed his jacket. "Thanks for having me over man, always a pleasure." I smirked and nodded. "Sure... but next time give me a heads up." He laughed and opened the door then looked back at Naruto. "Do you wanna ride home dude? I'm sure my mom won't mind, she likes ya." " No thanks, I'm gonna finish the movie with Sasuke. Plus I'm staying over." I looked over at him confused. When did he say that he was sleeping over? "I asked Itachi before I came over here, I wanted to tell you last minute." Why is no one telling me things before hand? "I guess he's staying over..." He smiled and went back over to the couch and waited for me.
