Chapter 5: Back Then...

Itachi Pov:

I look at Deidara up and down. "Its been years.. You look so different, and I see that you let your hair grow out. You look great" He said as he looks down at the floor. "Well it looks like you didn't change. You still look the same when we were younger..." I smiled at bit. He looked up at me and gave me a nervous smile and started to look everywhere else but at me. I looked over to Sasuke who was just leaning against the wall. "Sasuke I'll be here for a while longer. I still have paperwork to finish so you can head on home first." He nods and makes his way to the lobby doors. "It was nice to see you again Deidara..." "Same here Sasuke, see you around sometime." He smiled at Sasuke. I kept looking at Deidara. 'We left on bad terms... It was last minute when I told him that Sasuke and I are moving. I didnt want to tell him but the truth was gonna come out sooner or later. I didn't mean to tell him at the last minute but I couldn't bring myself to do it because.. I love him.'

~Flashback~

Itachi Pov still

I was making way down the hallway to go to the principle's office. "I wonder what they want me for, I have to get things ready for graduation." I almost reach where I need to be when: "Hey Itachi! Where are you off to? Aren't you suppose to be in class?" "Yes, but I was called into the principle's office for something. They said it was important... Speaking of class, aren't you suppose to be in class?" I asked and he just gave me a small grin. "Yeah but I had to use the bathroom really badly." " Did you use the restroom?" "Yeeaaaahhh..." "Then Maybe you should go back to class, don't you think..." I said to him with a smirk and he just rubbed the back of his neck. "Yeah, you're right... I was on my way back to class when I spotted you soooooo I guess I accompany you to the office" He smiles and I just nod my head. "Okay that's up to you, just know the you're going to get in trouble because you missed half the class." He kept walking and I smiled kept walking to the office. A couple of minutes went by and we made it to the office. "Okay, since you have made it to your destination safe and sound I'll be off back to class" I laughed a little and thanked him for walking me to the office. He nods and made his way back to class. 'I like to see him come up with a lie.' I smiled and went into the office.

As soon as I walked in my smiled dropped when I saw all these random people in black. I felt uneasy so I stopped in my tracks and looked at the principle. "Umm Lady Tsunade, what's going on? What are all these people doing here?" I asked a question after another question. She gave me a sad look and sighed. "Come and sit down Itachi..." I did what I was told and sat down in the chair that was in front of her desk. I looked over to her and asked: "So what's going on here?" "Itachi, It's your parents...." I looked scared and confused. "What about my parents? Did something happened to them?" I asked in a concerned voice. She looks at me with a sad expression but says nothing. "Lady Tsunade? My parents??" "Itachi... I'm sorry to say this but you're parents got into a accident earlier today, they were caught in something horrible and were shot. They were badly injured rushed to the hospital, but when they got there.. they didn't make it." I sat in my chair... not moving an inch, not saying a word, not really having a reaction but just looking down at the floor as she told me about my parents being in a accident. I took a couple of minutes to compose myself. I looked up at her with lifeless eyes.

She explained more details about the accident and I just sat there and listened. "I know you have a little brother, he's in middle school correct?" I nod slowly. "I'll let you go home early so you can talk to your brother about this." I nod again and still kept quiet. "You can grab your things from class and you can go. I'm sorry Itachi..." I nod once more and stood up from the chair and made my way out of the office. I started to make my way to the restroom. 'Don't cry.' I started to walk a little faster. 'Don't cry..' I walked even faster and made it to the restroom. 'Don't---' I burst into tears the second I went in the restroom. I fell to the floor and cried my eyes out. 'Mom...Dad.' I thought. I stopped crying a few minutes later and went to the sink and put water on my face. I looked at myself in the mirror.'I look horrible...' I sighed. I cleaned myself up a little more and made my way back to my class to get my things and leave.
