Chapter 44: Suspension

Naruto Pov

We all went back to the office and stood in front of Grandma, I look at her then at Sasuke and Sai. Jeez, she didn't even say anything to us yet and I feel like a nervous wreck. She put her pen down and looked at all three of us. "So...I heard very interesting things from you all. Some things were the same... some were different, but I know who was the cause of it." She crossed her arms and looked over at Sai then back over to me. "Naruto since you didn't really do anything physical, you won't have any punishment done." That's a relief! But what about Sasuke.  "Now for the two of you...Fighting is a really big deal and will have big consequences." She came around her desk and stood in front of them.

She sighs and continued. "Sai...you were the first on to start hitting and then it lead to you choking Sasuke. I also heard that you were the first one to put your hands on Kiba. You told me that Kiba was the one who started putting his hands on you. Now, you have the chance to tell me the truth... were you the one who started putting hands on one another?" "....Yes Ma'am." Grandma nodded and went back to sitting at her desk. "Sasuke... I know you were defending Naruto but you still fought back and we cant have that here." He nods. "I understand." I was about to say something but grandma put her hand up to keep me quiet.

She started to write on papers. "Sai...because you started the fight and for choking a classmate, you are suspended for 3 weeks." She signs the paper and handed it to him. He deserves it. "Sasuke...since you fought back, you are suspended for a week." A week?! She signs the paper and hands it to Sasuke. "I will let you go back to your classroom and collect your things. That will be all."

I just stood there, looking at her. Sasuke tapped my cheek and looked at me with worry. "You can go ahead to the class...I'm gonna talk with Grandma for a minute." "Alright dont be long." I smiled and nod. I waited for them to leave to say something. "A week? I dont think that's fair." "Its the rules Naruto. He fought back---" "Because he was defending me! I think he shouldn't even get suspended for that!" She stood up and glared at me. I glared back. "I'm sorry Naruto. I didnt want to do it but it had to be done, now go back to class." "But Gran--" "Now Naruto. End of discussion." Ughh. I opened the door and slammed it closed. Stupid rules. Stupid everything!

Sasuke Pov

I put my headphones back in my ears while I was walking back to class. A week suspension...should've seen this coming. I fold the paper and put it in my pocket. Naruto's probably yelling at Lady Tsunade, he's brave for doing such a thing. I smirked and continued back to class. After a few minutes, I made it back to the class. I opened the door and felt all eyes on me. Why dont they just mind their business? I went over to Kakashi and showed him the slip. He nods and whispers: "Okay then...I'll see you in a week Sasuke." I nod and went over to my desk and grabbed my things. Everyone started to come over to me. Kiba sat on Naruto's and looked at me. "So what happened man? Did everything go okay?" "I got Suspended for a week." I put the slip on the table so they can see. I finished putting my things in my bag. Kiba picked it up and just looked at it with anger.

Before he could rip it, I took it out of his hand and put it back in my pocket. "That's such bull--" "Calm yourself Kiba." He sighs and gripped up his hair. "You don't seem mad about it." Shikamaru said with a monotone voice. "No reason for me to be mad. Even though I was defending Naruto, I still fought back. Of course I was going to get some sort of punishment." I heard the door open and saw Naruto walking in.

He slowly walked up to me and put his head on my chest. I smirked and rubbed his head softly. I guess the talk didnt go too well. I put my bag on and said bye to everyone. Naruto didnt move inch. "Do you wanna walk me out?" He nodded and looked up at me with such sad eyes. Naruto...I hope you dont feel guilty about this. He grabbed my hand and we walked out of the classroom. We walked in the hall in silence, it's not an awkward silence...but the atmosphere feels down. It seems like he won't be letting go of my hand anytime soon.
