Chapter 37: Out In Town

Naruto Pov

I woke up when I heard my phone go off. I rubbed my eye and reached for my phone. Who the heck is calling me at this time? I picked it up, not caring who it might be.

Naruto: Helllooo?....

Sasuke: Naruto? You okay?

I quickly sat up on the bed and felt my face heat up. I took the phone away from my ear and looked at the name. Sasuke! I took a deep breath and went back to the phone.

Naruto: Heeeyyy Sasuke! How are ya bud?

Sasuke: Umm... I'm okay. Just checking if everything is okay over there. I texted but--

Naruto: But I didnt get back to you. Yeah sorry about that, after Kiba left I took a nap.

Sasuke: Oh okay then... I just wanted to see if you were still up for tomorrow. Since the dance is coming up I thought we can go shopping for our Tuxes.

Naruto: Yeah of course! We're not...going to the mall right?

Sasuke: Dont worry.... we're not gonna go near the mall. I'm also not comfortable going back there...Itachi knows where to get some in town. Also, is it okay for him and Deidara to tag along? They wont be with us the whole time so...

Naruto: Of course! I dont mind! You know I love Itachi!

Sasuke: Yeah, he loves you too. Do you mind if we come get you at 12:30? I know its kind of early but that way we can have the whole day to look.

Naruto: 12:30 is fine Sasuke. I would love to spend the whole day with you....and Itachi of course!

Sasuke: (laughs a little) I'll see you tomorrow Naruto. Goodnight.

Naruto: Goodnight...

With that, he hung up the phone and I threw mine on the bed. My god! My face feels like it's on fire! I face planted into my pillow and yelled into it. "Why the heck did I call him 'Bud'?! Why am I so freaking weird?!" I sat up and glanced at my phone. Stupid phone. I got up from the bed and went straight into the bathroom to splash cold water on my face. I turned on the water and started drowning myself in cold water. Get a grip Naruto! You dont have to act different around him, just treat him like you always treated him. Your Friend. Your Best Friend! Your best friend....that you now have feelings for. Who probably may have feelings for me. He probably liked me longer....

I ran out of the bathroom straight to my bed, picked up my phone and quickly called Kiba. A couple of rings went by until I heard him answer.

Kiba: Naruto? What's up man?

Naruto: Hey, sorry for calling you but I have to ask you something. Did Sasuke every tell you the he likes me?

Kiba: I figured it out on my own at first. I kept teasing him to the point where he actually told me. But it was bit by bit. And he really didnt hide it either, he kept openly flirting with you.

Naruto: Really?

Kiba: Naruto are you serious? You didnt notice? Not even once? You even called him handsome.

Naruto: I mean... not really and when did I call him handsome?

Kiba: Come on man...On the first week of school.

Naruto: Oh...well you know I'm forgetful.  Anyway, that's all I wanted to ask. I'll see you Monday.

Kiba: See you Monday man.
