Emma's POV
We are back in the locker room for another game and Jill thought it would be good to start me today even after the horrible first cap I had. I get up from my locker and take one more deep breath before walking out the locker room and taking my place behind Megan who is today's captain.

We start to walk out and then the anthems pass by with out me even realizing it. We take the starting XI picture before I walk back to my goal getting ready for then game.

This game went way better then the last one. Despite England being the opponent we won with 3-0 and I did some great saves keeping us clean from any goals in our net.

I'm talking to Tobin when Christen walk over."Em you have to met my family" I look at her confused but she just pull my arm as Tobin follow behind

"This is Emma" Christen say as we reach her family standing in the stands. "It's nice to met you Mrs and Mr Press"

"Oh don't call us that. Call us Cody and Stacy" Her mom say making me smile and nod at her.

Me and Tobin join the families conversation until it's broken by someone screaming. "Tobs. How you been". We all turn our head to see a girl.

"Hi Jeri" Tobin answer

"Can you tell Alex to come say hi to her family" She nod before calling Alex over

Alex hug the girl as well as another one and two older people I'm guessing her parents and then a boy. "Emma this is my mom and dad as well as my sisters Jeni and Jeri. And this is Serv. He put his hand out for me to shake it

"Alex's boyfriend" My heart drop but before I can even do anything Alex break in

"Excuse me but I'm very much single"

"When have been together for 14 months" He say giving her an unsure look

"Serv. We went on one date last year and that's it and if you were my boyfriend you have been a shitty one because I haven't heard from you since last time I was in LA which was almost a year ago. You and me are friends nothing more" I can see how uncomfortable he is but I couldn't care less. For one moment I thought she was going to play me like a doll.

Soon after that we players have to go take a shower.

I'm the last one in the shower room like always trying not to make anyone uncomfortable. Then everyone get onto the bus and I sit down with Christen as always and this time music is played in the bus despite everyone who played being tired.

I have just gotten back to my room when their is a knock on the door. Tierna hasn't gotten her yet so I walk to open it. "And what makes a beautiful woman like you turn up at my door" I say when I see Alex is the one how knock.

"I just wanted to say that I'm telling my parents I'm gay today over lunch. I know we like isn't together but I still thought I would tell you" She say giving me a shy smile

"It's totally fine and hope it's goes well" I give her a kiss on the cheek before she leave and I close the door and fall on my bed for a well needed nap

After the nap both me and Tierna got ready and made our way down to the lobby where a lot of our teammates already were.

A few minutes later when Pinoe was arrived as the last person we start the short walk to and Italian restaurant.

The restaurant is cozy and kinda small. I sit down with Ash to my left and Sam to my right with Tobin in front of me and like every time at dinner the waitress starts at one end of the table walk down it. Me sitting at the end needing to wait a bit to long for my liking.

And then she finally gets to me. "What would you like pretty" I play it calm not trying to make anyone angry

"I will take pasta pesto please and I'm not looking for anyone right now so please flirt with someone else" This comment making many of my teammates look at me like I'm stupid and when she has taken Mal's order someone finally speak up

"Since when did you not flirt with every girl that comes your way"

"Since probably a few days ago"

"And how does that come" Ash ask throwing her arm around my shoulders

"You know, trying to be better. I can't fuck around all life. I actually want to meet someone and have a family some day"

"The rookie being mature" Pinoe say making a few laugh

I just shrug my shoulders trying get a look at Alex and the smile on her face is something no one would miss

The rest of dinner go well. Everyone having a good last night in Florida's warm weather. We decided to walk back to the hotel. I was trying to find Alex and ask her about lunch but she was having a conversation with Kelley so I had one with Ash. When we got closer to the hotel I felt like I had to ask so I dropped back to them a few meters behind everyone. "Could I steal Alex from you for just one minute" I asked Kelley not trying to be suspicious

"Sure I need to talk to Sonnett any way" That was easier then I thought

When no one else could hear I looked at Alex

"How did lunch go?"

"It was good"

"How did it go with...."

"I would say it went well. They were surprised but they didn't say anything bad about it soooo. I think it went well" She answer with a small smile on her face

"I'm proud of you princess. Just know that" And then I was of to find Mal and Rose to talk about our flight tomorrow
