Emma's POV
We hade training yesterday with a lot of sprints and weights and today we have a double day. At the first training we did an attacking drill were the defenders defended and the we did a small penalty competition where my team won so me together with Allie, Sonnett, Alex and Tobin don't have to run 5 laps after this training that we are making our way to now

Christen and I are just catching up on what has happened over the days we had off and talking about how we think the NWSL will end this season

When we get to the stadium we are training at I quickly put my cleats and shin guards on before me and Ash warm up. A few minutes later everyone else start warming up and then we are put into two teams.

Team Ash:
Ash
Kelley, Tierna, Abby, Sonnett
Allie, Lindsay, Carli
Pinoe, Alex, McDonald

Team Emma:
Emma
Crystal, Becky, Julie, Ali
Rose, Sam, Morgan
Mal, Christen, Tobin

We are playing 3 times 10 with 5 minutes break in between just so no one get to tired. The winner won't have to run 5 laps and with the other five laps some people are going to have to run 10.

We play without kick of so we start the game by throwing it up in the air and then we play. Knowing that it's only ten minutes play before break everyone is going full on try hard to win this. People are making runs everywhere and both me and Ash has to make some good saves but after the first ten my team is up 1-0 from an incredible goal where Tobin gave Christen a perfect cross that she just put down on one touch and put it in the top right corner that no one had a chance on

The next half my team lost way to much possession which lead or that we didn't have more then five chances while the other team had about 20 so we are down by one at this point and what annoying me the most is that one of the goal Alex got free and nutmegged me. I just know I'm going to be eating that up soon

Any way when we step on the field for the last and finally ten minutes our team isn't the same. We are dominating everywhere and the other don't even have a chance.

We ended up winning 4-2 after two solo goals from Mal and a very nice header from Julie on a corner and this meant that I didn't have to run any laps so as everyone else starts running I sit down and start to undo my cleats together with Tobin

We just small talk as the other start to finish their laps. The first three to be done with their five laps is Christen, Julie and Alex and I can see Tobin following Christen with her eyes

"Are you going to ask her out" I as say as I nudged her side

"What, who" She ask clearly trying to play dum

"Christen your dum ass. You look at her like she is a walking goddess. Which I don't blame you because she is good looking but I have a girlfriend and she is form the above. You get the point"

"I mean she is good looking it's just that......we have been best friends since she joined the team and I don't want to fuck it up" She say as she look down and play with the grass

"I'm just saying that your are going to look back at this and think. Why didn't I ask her out. I had nothing to lose. And on top of that I know she would say yes" And with that I stand up and walk over to grab my bag and catch up with Kelley as we walk to the buss.

When we get on the buss I sit down next to Kelley taking Tobins place. "And how come you are sitting here"

"Well we need to give the future couple some alone time" I say as Christen and Tobin walk onto the buss together

As they pass us I give them both a sheep smile and go back to talking with Kelley.

When we get back to the hotel I have two hours to eat and get ready until I need to leave with Alex and Megan so we can do the interview at Jimmy Kimmel
