Part 31

*Felix's POV*

Flashback

Today is the day! I'm finally going to tell Yuqi that I like her. She is my best friend, but I have liked for years now. She'll probably reject me, but I have to tell her.

And what if she doesn't reject me? What if she actually likes me back? Probably not... I don't know.

Ugh Felix, stop overthinking!

I grab my coat and leave my house. Today we're meeting up at a Cafe. I can't wait to see her.

When I get to the cafe, I see her sitting at a table, looking at her phone. Seeing her makes me smile. I walk into the Cafe and sit down at the table. It's a four person table, only though there is two of us.

"Hey Yuqi!" I greet her excitedly. She looks up for her phone and smiles at me.

"Finally you're here, I thought you got lost," Yuqi jokes and I laugh a little, nervously. I wipe my hands on my pants since they're getting sweaty.

"Um Yuqi, I have something to tell you," I say nervously.

"What is it?" Yuqi looks at me and smiles so wide that my heart beats even faster.

"Um, well... for a while now, I uh," I say awkwardly. I didn't even plan what to say. Ugh, I look like an idiot.

"If something is going on, you can tell me," Yuqi says, now concerned. I take a deep breath and look up at her.

"Okay, I wanted to tell you that I like-"

"Over here!" Yuqi calls to someone and stands up. "I want you to meet someone."

A tall guy Yuqi and embraces her in a hug. He's huge compared to her. I stare at them confused."

"This is my boyfriend Wong Yukhei," Yuqi smiles very widely and quickly kisses the guy's lips.

Tears threaten to fall but I quickly wipe them away.

"This is Felix, my best friend," Yuqi introduces her boyfriend to me.

"It's so nice to meet you, I've heard so much about you," Yukhei smiles at me.

So he's heard about me, but I haven't heard about him? A little notice would have been nice, I was just about to humiliate myself by confessing to my best friend who had obviously never liked me like that.

I fake a smile and say, "It's nice to meet you too, but I have to go now, I made plans with my family."

I need to leave this place right now, I would absolutely hate to cry right in front of Yuqi, and even worse, her boyfriend.

"Really? Why didn't you tell me? And didn't you have something to say?" Yuqi looks at me confused.

"Oh its nothing, and the plans were last minute, I barely knew about them myself, but I'll be late if I don't leave now" I say and awkwardly laugh.

I turn around and walk away as fast I can.

I barely hear Yuqi when she says bye.

After I get away from the cafe, I start running. I can't belive I was such an idiot to fall in love with my best friend. Suddenly I feel happy that her boyfriend came, it saved me from making a fool of myself in front of Yuqi. I should've known she would never like me back.

Tears start to fall from my eyes, but I keep running, I don't even know where I'm going. Then it starts raining, and I didn't bring a sweatshirt, so I'm freezing. I find a tree to sit under and continue crying. After a few minutes, I hear someone coming toward me. I quickly wipe away my tears, hopefully they won't know I was crying.
