Roommates //Changlix

Part 9

The rest of the week is the same as Monday. I barely get to see any of my friends, but I get my first pay check next week, so it's worth it.

I don't work on Friday so the five of us, Hyunjin, Jisung, Seungmin, Minho, and I, plan to go to the movies. So right after school ends we all meet up at the cafe on campus. Before i leave my dorm, I ask if Changbin wants to come with us. He agrees so we walk to the cafe and are the first ones there. I sit and he goes to get us some water. I sit at a table and the other four come into the cafe. They all come sit at the table. There's only one seat open.

"Hey Felix!" Hyunjin says and hugs me tightly. "I haven't seen you in forever, seriously!"

"And I haven't seen you in forever either!" I say and hug him back tightly.

"We barely see you now," Jisung says.

"Well you see me everyday," I say to Jisung.

"Only during classes," Jisung pouts.

"True," I say.

"I got our waters," Changbin says. I realize that I forgot to tell them about Changbin.

"Changbin?" Jisung asks. Jisung is the only one who knows Changbin.

"Oh yeah, Changbin is going to come to the movies with us," I say.

"Oh?" Hyunjin asks me while looking at Changbin.

"Uh, yeah," Changbin says and smiles shyly. He's so cute!

Changbin goes to sit down in the open seat next to Minho.

"You can sit here, Changbin," Hyunjin quickly stands up before I can say anything.

"Oh okay," Changbin says and comes to sit by me. Changbin sits down next to Minho and smirks at me, making me blush and glare at him. Changbin hands me a glass of water and I take it. Our fingers slight touch each other and I blush.

"So what movie should we watch?" Seungmin asks.

"A horror movie!" Hyunjin says.

"A horror movie?" Seungmin asks.

"Yeah, unless you're too scared," Hyunjin smirks at Seungmin.

"I am not too scared," Seungmin says.

"Okay, then let's watch a horror movie, the scariest one in theaters right now," Hyunjin smirks.

"Sure," Minho says.

"Yeah," Changbin says and smiles.

Hyunjin knows I hate horror movies, but I don't wanna seem like a baby in front of all my new friends though.

"Okay great, let's go," Hyunjin says and stands up.

We all stand up and follow him. He seems to know exactly where the movie theater is. Did he go to the movies without me? The thought makes me a little sad.

Changbin and I walk at the back of the group. We follow Hyunjin who walks to the movie theater. When we get there we get tickets for the scary movie that Hyunjin picked. I wanna know why he's making us watch a scary movie when he knows I hate them.

Hyunjin goes and buys the tickets. He says that most of the seats are full so we're going to sit in pairs. Minho and Jisung sit by each other and go into the theater, and Hyunjin and Seungmin sit next to each other, so Changbin and I sit next to each other.

Changbin walks into the theater and I follow him. We're some of the first people there. I see Hyunjin and Seungmin sitting a few rows behind us. He's smirking at me. I ignore him and sit next to Changbin.

"Thanks for inviting me, your friends are cool," Changbin smiles a little.

"Of course," I say and smile. He's so cute! "So, you like horror movies?"

"Yeah! I love them," Changbin says excitedly. "What about you?"

"Uh... They're okay," I lie. I hate horror movies.

"Well if you get scared, I'll protect you," Changbin says teasingly, but it makes my heart beat faster.

"Ha, in your dreams," I say and laugh. Changbin laughs with me.

I really don't want Changbin to know I hate horror movies, and that I get scared really easily.

Soon the lights turn off and the ads end, but only a few other people come into the theater. I look back at Hyunjin confusedly and he just shrugs with a smirk.

I turn around and watch the movie. At first it's not scary, I eat some popcorn and watch the movie. Changbin really seems to be enjoying the movie.

The movie becomes a little more scary. Suddenly there's a jump scare and I jump into Changbin.

Changbin chuckles and wraps his arm around me.

"It's okay, I'll protect you," Changbin whispers into my ear and looks back up to the movie. I feel my cheeks heat up.

For the rest of the movie I sit with my head on Changbin's shoulder and his arm around my shoulders. When the movie's almost over I look up at Changbin's face. He's watching the movie and smiling a little.

I look at him for what seems like a few minutes when he turns his head to look at me. My head is still on his shoulder, so our faces are really close. We stare at each other and I feel my heart beat speed up. We're so close that I can hear his breath, we're so close that if we were any closer we could kiss-

I quickly turn my head back to the movie, my cheeks are really hot.

Why am I thinking like that?

After a while the movie finally ends and the lights turn back on.

"Uh, t-thanks for protecting me," I say, avoiding Changbin's eyes.

"Oh no problem," Changbin says and smiles. I notice that Changbin's arm is still around my shoulders. I feel my cheeks heat up.

"Um, I have to go to the bathroom," I say and quickly stand up. I leave the theater and look around for the bathroom and lock myself in a stall.

"Why is my heart beating so fast? It must just be from the movie... Not Changbin..."

I walk out of the stall after I clam down and wash mt hands. I leave the bathroom and see Changbin waiting outside.

"Oh, h-hey," I say.

"Hey. The others said they were tired so they left," Changbin says.

"Really? But it's only 6:30," I say confusedly and Changbin shrugs.

"Are you tired too?" Changbin asks.

"No not really," I say. Did Hyunjin leave us alone on purpose? I'm gonna kill him-

"Same! Wanna get some ice cream? I know a place that has good ice cream," Changbin says.

"O-okay," I say and smile, Changbin smiles widely.
