We walk into the store. It's a cute little store. I notice a sign in the window. It says "Now Hiring."

Maybe I should get a job. I mean I'll eventually run out of money to buy stuff I need. I wouldn't want to ask for money from my parents. Plus it would also make my parents proud of me.

"You guys can go ahead, I'm gonna do something," I say and smile.

"Okay," Hyunjin says as he and the others walk away.

I walk over to a checkout counter. There's another sign that says "Now Hiring."

"Um hello, I'm Felix, I noticed your 'Now hiring' signs. I was wondering if I could get some more information about it," I say to a cashier.

"Oh! Well the job is open to anybody age 16 and above," the cashier says.

"I'm 18," I say and smile.

"Okay, perfect. So we're looking for anybody who can work from 4 to 10 on week nights. New employees don't work on the weekends. Someone will train you your first week, than later on you can choose to work weekends," the cashier says.

"That actually sounds great, how do I apply?" I ask. My last class ends at 3:00 so I could easily come here.

"Well you're the only that's asked so I'll just bring you to Mr. Choi. He'll ask you some questions and see if you'd be good for the job."

"Okay great," I say and follow the cashier as she leads me to back of the store. I seem some more workers, who could be my co workers soon. This is so exciting.

"He's right in here," the cashier opens the door to the office. I start to feel a little nervous. "Hey, I've got someone whose interested in a job."

"Oh, well come one in," the guy, says with a big smile. "Have a seat, I'm gonna ask you some questions."

The cashier leaves and I sit down in the only chair.

"So what's your name," Mr. Choi asks.

"My name is Lee Felix and I'm 18. I'm from Australia, I go to the college here," I say a little nervously and smile.

"Okay," Mr. Choi says, writing something down on what looks like a form. "So why are you interested in having a job here?"

"Um, well I think it's a great opportunity to learn about responsibility. To learn how to balance having a job and still get good grades in school. I also need to learn how to become independent and not depend on anyone for money," I say. I don't know what to say. "Or is that wrong?"

"That's actually the best answer I've ever heard," Mr. Choi says and laughs. "Well, you have to fill out this form and bring it back as soon as you can. I'll call you to let you know if you get to job."

"Really? Great," I say excitedly as he hands me a form. "Thank you so much."

"Also, my name is Choi Seunghyun, but everybody here just calls me Mr. Choi."

"Oh okay, nice to know," I say and leave the office. I leave and go to find the others.

"There you are, we we're starting to get worried," Hyunjin jokes as I join them. They have a cart. "What were you doing?"

"I was asking about a job," I say excitedly.

"Wow, it's only your second day in Korea and you're already applying for a job?" Hyunjin asks surprised.

"Yeah," I say excitedly. "I'm gonna need money for food and stuff."

"Good point, someone needs to have money to buy us food," Jisung says.
