*Changbin's POV*
After a while Sihyeon and I finally arrive at the restaurant. I decided not to talk to her in the car.
"Oh welcome Mr. Seo, I haven't seen you in a while!" Mrs. Jung greets me happily after we walk into the restaurant.
"Hello Mrs. Jung, I've been really busy," I greet her and smile.
"Ooh, you here on a date?" She looks at Sihyeon who blushes slightly.
"Yep, this is Sihyeon, my girlfriend," I respond, pretending to sound happy.
"Oh my, you are very beautiful, I approve," Mrs. Jung says with a smirk.
"Can we get a table now?" I ask, trying not to sound rude.
"Oh yes, of course, so sorry, right over," she leads us to a table and tells us out server will be here soon.
"Sorry if she made you feel uncomfortable, I've known her practically my whole life," I say to Sihyeon.
"It's fine, she seems like a really nice person," Sihyeon says and I nod. We fall into an awkward silence as I think of what to say. Is she really interested in me? Maybe I should ask her, that'd be a good way to ease into a conversation about how I like someone else..
"Hello, I'm Daeyeol, and I'll be your server tonight," a handsome gentleman comes our table.
I look at Sihyeon for her to talk first.
"I would just like a water for now," she smiles up at the tall guy.
"Okay, and you?" he says to me.
"Same for me," I say.
"Great, I'll have those right out," he smiles and leaves.
"Isn't he nice?" Sihyeon smiles a little.
"Yeah, I guess," I respond awkwardly.
"...so-" we both say in unison and look at each other.
"You first," I say and she nods, looking down nervously.
"Is our relationship real?" She asks.
"What do you mean?" I ask, confused.
"Well what I guess I meant was, do you actually like me or are you just... going along with your parents?" She asks hesitatantly, shocking me.
"Why do you ask?" I don't want to straight up tell her I am not interested in her whatsoever, my dad would kill me if found out I said that.
"Just answer my questions first," she says nervously.
"Well... to be honest... not really," I sigh. What are the chances she feels the same way?? Please do, or I'm dead.
"Really??" Her face lights up, surprising me again.
"Yeah, is that good or something?" I ask confusedly.
"I'm not sure. To be honest, I'm only 'dating' you because my parents are making me," she says and looks away again. I can tell she's hiding something.
"Same for me," I say. I'm so glad she feels the same way!
"Here's yours guys' water," Daeyeol returns with two glasses and puts them in front of us.
"Thank you!" Sihyeon says happily and the server nods.
"Are you guys ready to order?" He asks.
"I'd like japchae, thank you," Sihyeon says.
"Kimchi Stew, for me," I say.
"Got it, do you guys need anything else right now?"
I look at Sihyeon who shakes her head.
"Not right now, but thanks," I say and smile at him.
"Of course, call for me if you need anything." I nod at him as he leaves.
"So... if you're not interested in me, do you know why our parents are making us date?" I ask.
"Um... I do..," she says.
"What is it..? Is it bad?" I ask, starting to feel concerned as Sihyeon sighs.
"Not really? For you at least, I'm sorry you got dragged into this mess."
"Well it is a bit inconvenient, but it could be worse, and maybe we can use this to help our problems. What's your problem?" I ask her.
"Maybe. I am in love with someone from a... not-so-rich family. He's not even that poor, but his family isn't powerful. So my dad doesn't approve and wants us to break up. It's so annoying," Sihyeon rolls her eyes.
"Wow, that's awful," I say, speechless. I didn't even think about something like this happening. My dad wouldn't do that, right...?
He definitely would..
"Yeah, but what about you?" She asks.
"Well, I also like someone, but it's a bit complicated as it's a... guy," I say. I can't believe I actually told her, what if she hates me??
"Omg, are you gay?" She asks.
"No!.. Yes- maybe?" I sigh. "I haven't really said it out loud.."
"Wow, that must be tough with your dad," she says sympathetically.
"Yeah, my dad is super homophobic. He'd kill me if he found out I liked a guy. But I really like this guy, he's so cute and I can't resist him," I say and smile as I think about Felix.
"Ooh, you look like you're in love. I saw your smile, you're thinking about him!" Sihyeon says excitedly and I cough at the 'L word.'
"Um.. so anyways, what should we do with our relationship?" I say, changing the topic as my cheeks heat up. Sihyeon smirks at my reaction but thankfully doesn't say anything more about it.
"Hmm, you said that maybe we could use it to help our problems," she thinks.
"Yeah," I say as the perfect idea comes to my mind. "Hmm, I haven't had much time to spend with Felix as I've been super busy with work, and my dad wouldn't let me see him regardless. He's been watching me a lot more these days."
"And my dad won't let me see my boyfriend either..." Sihyeon says. "Maybe when we pretend to go out on dates, we can secretly meet up with our boyfriends! We'll pretend to be a couple to hide our real relationships."
"Yeahhh wait- he's not my boyfriend..." I say nervously as my cheeks heat up again.
"Not yet, that is," she smirks at me.
"That's a great idea!" I say, avoiding what she said.
"I know right? I'm a genius. So deal?" Sihyeon puts her hand out for me to shake.
"Deal!" I say and shake her hand as we both smile.
This couldn't have gone any better! I just have to talk to Felix now
Double update for you guys ^^
