Summer's outfit ...
It had been 3 and a half weeks since Summer suffered her miscarriage and although everything had cleared up physically, mentally she was still suffering making progress slowly but she was still hurting. Spencer was there for her every single day, which is how often she would have a breakdown about the situation still struggling to forgive herself for not telling Spencer soon. The team was back at the BAU and all was the same, Spencer and Summer hadn't told anyone about the status of their relationship yet, although it was evident to a bunch of profilers something was going on, no one pushed them to talk though, well not yet anyway. Summer had just pulled into the BAU parked her car and let out a loud sigh switching off her car and getting out, she grabbed her things and made her way inside, it was a bad day for Summer she had just felt really empty today which was hard for because she felt she was making progress.
She made her way to the 6th floor walking out of the elevator and running smack bang into Anderson and dropping all her things on the floor "Oh Summer! I am so sorry I didn't see you there" he said getting down on his knees picking up her things "Ah it's ok I wasn't paying attention" Summer said meeting him on the floor collecting her things they both got up "Summer I have noticed you have been a bit off lately, maybe I could help do you want to get lunch or dinner?" Anderson asked "Uh no it's ok thanks" Summer said attempting to walk away Anderson grabbed her wrist "Hey what are yo.." Summer said as she felt another hand grabbing her arm and yanking it away "I suggest you don't ever touch her like that again" Spencer said giving Anderson the most infuriating look "Spencer it's ok really..." Summer tried saying but Spencer was full of rage "Calm down doctor I just wanted to take her out she has been moping around the office for weeks now" Anderson said firing back up at Reid honestly Summer couldn't believe that this was happening right now she felt dizzy from the stress "Well she's not interested so leave her alone" Spencer said raising his voice which caught the attention of Luke who was making his way to the office "Reid, Summer what's going on?" Luke asked.
"Nothing just putting Anderson back in his place" Spencer said letting go of Summer and walking through the doors as Anderson walked away "Are you ok Summer? Luke said "Yeah I am fine, it really wasn't a big deal I don't know how it got out of hand so quickly" Summer said putting her stuff at her desk. "Let me go find Reid see what is going on" Luke said Summer nodded her head and sat down. Luke made his way over to Spencer who was making a coffee "Hey Reid what was all that about out there?" Luke asked "I don't know just anytime someone put their hands on her I immediately see red I can't help myself" Spencer said "What's going on between the both of you?" Luke said "We are in a relationship Luke" Spencer said look at him then taking a sip of coffee "A relationship?? Since when??" Luke said with wide eyes he was a little bit shocked "Since about 3 and a half weeks ago" Spencer said moving past him to sit down at his desk.
Luke made his way back over to his desk which is opposite Summers and sat down "When were you planning on telling me?" Luke whispered "Telling you what?" Summer said just as quietly "About you and Reid...the relationship you're both in?" Luke whispering as if Summer was stupid "I am guessing he just told you?" Summer said still whispering and rolling her eyes "He is super protective of you Summer" Luke said "I know he is, I am afraid it's going to get him into trouble" Summer said "Me too" Luke sighed thinking the last thing Reid needs is to get himself into trouble yet again but in the back of his mind he was grateful someone was there for her like that.
The day continued on it was long and drawn out due to the overwhelming case reports they had to complete and phone consultations, Summer felt content never answering the phone again after the amount of phone calls she had answered today. She heard her phone buzz yet again this time a text message and it was from Spencer.
Spencer: Hey do you want to come over tonight? Summer: Of course I do, I can give you a lift home if you like? Spencer: Perfect. How long until you're finished? Summer: Um about 10 minutes what about you? Spencer: I finished an hour ago Summer: An hour ago why are you still even here? Spencer: I love you watching you work it brings me peace Summer: Ah ha ok weirdo see you soon
Summer locked her phone and put it on the desk, she finished up her report and took it up to Emily's desk. "Hey Summer" Emily said lifting her head with a smile "Hey Em, how are you?" Summer said returning the smile "So you and Reid?" Emily said chuckling "Who told you?" Summer said rolling her eyes "Summer I have seen you in love before I know your face" Emily said looking her up and down "Yeah well we are together now is there anything we need to fill out for you?" Summer asked "No I trust you both enough to not bring this in the field" Emily said "Now go enjoy your night with your boyfriend" she continued, Summer smiled "Thanks Emily, have a good night" She said as she put her file down and waved. Summer made her way back down to the bullpen and too Spencer's desk "Are you ready to go" she said and she ruffled his hair "Of course I am"
