Mew's pov:

We thought he would come back after a few minutes but we were wrong.

It's already been 3 hours but he's still in dissociation.

He's showing no signs of any of the alters even trying to front.

Something is wrong.

What in the world happened in the time we were asleep?

I sighed for the nth time while staring at him.

I was leaning on the headboard and he was leaning on my chest.

"Mmmnn..." I perked up when he started shuffling.

He was starting to blink more and ground himself.

I rubbed his belly gently and waited until he's able to properly perceive the things around him.

He looked around after a few minutes.

I patted his head making him look at me.

I tilted my head.

"Abbey..." His voice was barely audible.

I wouldn't have heard him if I wasn't so close.

I nodded and pulled him closer in my arms.

He turned and buried himself in my embrace.

I pressed my lips in his hair.

So we'll have to wait a little longer to find out what had happened...

I can't ask him.

He's a lot more sensitive to everything that happens around him than any of the other alters.

He'll start crying even easier than Eli.

Just then the door opened and Tha came in.

He perked up when he saw Abbey.

"Abbey." I mouthed to him.

He came up to the bed and sat down beside me.

Abbey peeked out from the crook of my neck when he felt the bed move.

"Hey, baby." Tha smiled softly and patted his head.

I was surprised when he just hummed softly in reply. He didn't move.

He usually jumps onto Thanit's lap the moment he sees him. He's really attached to him even more than me.

Thanit also looked equally surprised.

He moved even closer to us and wrapped an arm around Abbey.

"Did something happen, love?" He asked gently.

I also looked at him waiting for an answer.

"P'Blake... Cried a lot... Last night..." He mumbled after a few seconds of silence.

We pursed our lips.

Thanit had told me what that music box means to them last night.

"He kept screaming... And crying... For a long time..." He added.

Tears were starting to form in his eyes.

We tightened our arms around him.

"Are those people going to take us?" He spoke up after another few seconds.

"No." Thanit and I answered immediately.

"They're coming nowhere near you. We won't let them lay a single finger on you." I said firmly.
