After a lot of thinking and talking with Josie and Hope, Caroline has decided to follow Kieran's word. She even called Lizzie and her youngest was the happiest to know that Caroline is finally doing something for herself.
Caroline talked to her mother who was more than happy with Caroline's decision. So, two days later they found themselves exiting the school with Caroline's leaving letter.
"A year. And then you should move in with me to Ireland." Caroline opened the sheriff's car door for her Mother. "Care, if that is what you want, yes." Liz doesn't want to leave her beloved town.
"Mom, I lost you too soon last time. And this time I know what to do. I am not letting you die of cancer. And if there... if there is no other way, I am not going to live another life regretting that I didn't spend much time with you." Caroline held her mother's hand tightly.
One of Caroline's nightmares resulted in her telling the truth about how Liz died.
"And I don't want to die without getting to know my beautiful daughter and her daughters." Liz caressed Caroline's face.
"Well, Elizabeth Forbes, I am not going to let you die without meeting my small family." Liz chuckled softly. "And Caroline Forbes, you are the best thing that happened to me. I love you very much." Liz kissed her forehead.
"Go ahead. And remember we will be having a fancy dinner tonight." Caroline closed the door when Liz sat inside. She waited until Liz drove off.
"Well, you are Caroline Forbes... Forbes-Mikaelson. You will show them who you are." Caroline decided as she opened her car doors.

The Salvatore House was a mess. "What is happening?" Caroline asked entering the house. "Umm. There was a wolf pack seeking justice for Julian Herks." Damon said. "Julian..." The last timeline was Mason.
Caroline closed her eyes when she remembered that Mason was now a different person. Mason Lockwood is now engaged to a witch named Elaine Nott. He became a werewolf after he killed a dark wizard to save his then girlfriend. Caroline couldn't remember how it happened, but Tyler had been a werewolf for some time. Or years. As for now, after the death of Richard Lockwood, Mason came to Mystic Fall. He stayed for a month or two. But then left and this time with Tyler.
In this timeline, Caroline and Tyler had a small farewell gathering. They are still in contact. Tyler has changed to Spain with Mason. Carol Lockwood was the one who suggested it.
