Back in Elijah's apartment, Nikol decided it was time for him to go. "You can stay for the night. You don't seem well." Elijah offered. "I don't want to be killed while I am at my weakest." Nikol took in a sharp breath. "I... I know you don't trust me. But you are not on my list of people to kill." Elijah said sincerely. "Good to know. And can you take a look at that list again to see if Dad's name is scratched off from the list?" Nikol requested sarcastically.
"I am not going to deny that I wanted to kill him. I thought you and your father were lying about my children being alive. But Kai cleared things up for me. He told me my boy was alive. We made peace." Elijah wasn't sure about it, but he hoped.
"And yet, you still don't believe your son is alive. So, how am I going to believe you made peace with Dad? How am I supposed to trust you when your whole family left me? When it was only your bastard brother who stayed with me?" A thunder rattled startling them both.
Nikol took deep breaths to control his anger. He then looked at the darkening clouds from the window. The chilly night was becoming thunderous.
"It's my cue to take a rest. I will see you soon Elijah." Nikol disappeared forming a black cloud of smoke.
Elijah sighed into his hands. Why is his heart asking him to collect his thoughts? What is he missing?

THREE WEEKS LATER
Henrik found himself in the Mystic Grill waiting for Kayden after a busy morning with a sick Lizzie. He came in five minutes later with a polite smile on his face. Henrik has to remind himself that this is not only Kayden Scamander but the other half of Kai's soul. When Kayden smiled Henrik saw a hint of Kai in him.
"Dude, you look creepy." Henrik greeted Kayden. "Do I look like a psychopath when I smile?" Kayden asked excitedly. "Not for ignorant. But I, and I grew up watching his... techniques." Henrik tried to find a good word to replace murder.
"By the way, Noirs wants to meet you. Either you join us willingly or we kidnap you." Kayden scoffed. "Bold of you to think you can do that." This time Henrik scoffed. "I was raised by the most powerful sociopath. You don't want to test me, Kay." Kayden rolled his eyes. Henrik was talking about him. Another version but still him.
"That's what I want to talk about. Why do I have the memories of the Kai? I remember the travel to the 1000s. Noirs. Kieran's boyfriend. Josie's husband and child. Mikaelson and Freya. It's just the last few memories that are still blurry." Kayden shared his problem.
"You shouldn't have his memory. Unless that bloody smartass did a trick." Henrik told him.
A few minutes went by in silence which irked Henrik who was messaging Lizzie. Kayden is a curious mind so keeping his phone aside Henrik looked at Kayden.
