"Lizzie, who?"

His heart hammered against his ribcage; a thunderous beat echoed through his body. His voice caught in his throat. A strangled whisper showed how fragile his voice was becoming with the rise of panic. His blurry eyes show him Tom's concerned face.

It all slowly started to disappear. The thunder stopped. A soft hand was on his cheeks. A gentle voice calling for him.

He felt empty. Missing.

Kieran. He is Kieran again.

Kieran opened his eyes. He took in a deep breath when he realized he was back in his bed. The reality didn't reset. It was all a wishful dream. So much for drinking a dreamless potion.

"Are you alright? You were having a panic attack in sleep." Just the person he needs after having a dream of a perfect life with his late husband. Fate really hates him. Because that is just a dream and right in front of him is the reality.

Mors concern is genuine. Kieran could see it in his eyes.

"I had a bad dream." Kieran gulped down the glass of water on the side table. "With dreamless potions? That's a first." Mors said looking at the empty potion bottle on the tray.

"I don't know. Because that is the only explanation. Damn, I was so sure that the reality reset." Serve him right for being happy too early. And why couldn't Tom remember Lizzie? The events should follow true until the shift of reality. Lizzie was dead at the time but not forgotten. Kai was dead and forgotten.

"Reality? Tell me about it?" Mors was interested. Kieran decided to humour him. Also, he needs to share it with someone else and Mors is willing to hear him out.

Kieran told him what he saw and what he found out. Every minuscule detail. And the shocking reveal. Mors listened carefully. His eyes glued on Kieran's.

"You are right. It couldn't be a different reality. And it couldn't be a dream. Because what you felt there, you felt here. You had a panic attack when Tom asked you who Lizzie was. And when I came here you were having a panic attack. It was happening in real time." Mors started thinking. "Almost like your soul left your body." Mors murmured.

"Seriously Mors? Soul traveling to another dimension?" Kieran scoffed. "You have a better theory?" Mors asked making himself comfortable on the bed. Leaning against the headboard both of them started thinking about how it could be possible. Or other theories.

"Wait, Why are you here?" Kieran turned his face to look at Mors. The divine beauty never fades. Knowing that if he also turned his face, their proximity would be too close Mors kept looking forward. His heart is already shattered knowing even in another reality, timeline, or dimension, he doesn't have a chance with Kieran.
