Kieran's heart nearly dropped out of his chest when he realized there was someone under the sheet. "Oh God." Kieran whispered thinking who it could be.

The person chuckled lazily and shifted a bit. Kieran's eyes widened when he saw the crescent mark on his shoulder.

"Fuck me."

"I know I am a god, but I am tired, I have no idea how you still have the stamina. Sorry love."

Rather than answering his cheekiness Kieran dropped to the floor and started crying.

In a blink, Mors was pulling Kieran closer. "Okay, I... I am sorry we can go for another round." Mors genuine concern made him chuckle.

"I am not crying because of that. I... I am not..."

"You are not my Kieran." Mors said slowly pushing Kieran away. Kieran breathed relieved. Mors helped Kieran to sit on the cushioned chair.

"You have torn your soul. What has happened?" Mors asked holding Kieran's hand tightly. "A lot. I... which year is this?" Kieran's mind was a mess. He has been time jumping through a different timeline.

"1020. You look tired. Have you been time jumping for a long time?" Mors asked worried. "Time jumping in a different timeline. I... It started a few days back. We brainstormed about it and concluded this is a different timeline. It hasn't happened after that, so I thought everything was fine now." Kieran then told him about the shift of reality and everything he and the other Mors discussed.

"Is there a time limit?" Mors asked. "I am not sure. But the first time was longer. I... the first time a panic attack triggered me back and this time I walked through a door." Kieran said his eyes trained on the door.

"Go try." Mors encouraged. "But I would be..." "Devasted if you don't go back to your time, I know. Give it a try though." Kieran nodded.

With a hesitant walk, he grabbed the knob of the door. "Hey." Kieran looked back as he opened the door.

"Your reaction tells me that we aren't together from the time you came." Kieran smiled at him. "We are good friends." He is never going to admit it to his Mors. "But I know, whichever timeline and whenever from the timeline, whether it is a fake reality or not I will have mad love for you." His honesty touched Kieran's heart.

So rather than walking through the door Kieran walked back and hugged him. "I might not be in love with you, but I will always love you." Another thing he would never admit to his Mors.

"Thank you. Now go." Kieran watched Mors letting his hand go. For both of them, it happened in slow motion.

Kieran walked out of the door thankful that another self of him would experience true and honest love from Mors.
