"Nice to finally meet you, Mr. and Ms Yoo. Please, have a seat."
"Thank you, Mr. Park. I'm sure you've been made aware of the circumstances that have brought us here?"
"Yes, I have, Ms Yoo. And as much as I disagree with your decision, I can see that it is for the best. I will allow you to use Miss Jeongyeon for your business plan, but on two conditions. You and young Mr. Park Jimin's family are responsible for coming up with statements for our companies to put out, and the marriage should not interfere with Jeongyeon's career. She has so much talent that it would be a pity to waste it. Interference also includes mental health."
"Of course, Mr. Park. We will make sure that Jeongyeon is able to continue work. She loves her job and wouldn't trade it for the world. We could never sacrifice that."
"What about living arrangements?" The producer clasped his hands and leaned forward.
"Oh, right." Jeongyeon's mother cleared her throat. "We will be putting them together in a small, private, high-security apartment a block away."
"I want one of Jeongyeon's members to go with her to help her settle. Same for Mr. Park Jimin."
"Consider it done."
"I've just received a message from BigHit. Mr. Bang Si-Hyuk and the Park's are on their way. Shall I send for Jeongyeon?"
"Yes please. The sooner we break the news, the better. That way they'll have more time to adjust."
"If you say so..." JYP frowned as he reluctantly reached for the telephone on his desk and dialled the recording studio.

"From the desert to the ocean..."
Jeongyeon's crystal clear vocals filled the room with music. She smiled and waited until the track stopped.
"Jeongyeon, that was brilliant!" smiled the producer. "Your ability to pitch difficult phrases never ceases to amaze me. I'm sorry that your old producer didn't give you any lines before. Jihyo, are you ok with swapping this line with Jeongyeon?"
"Of course, Mr. Lee. I have quite a few already. Maybe we should revise both mine and Nayeon's parts? Momo and Tzuyu could use some more lines."
The nine girls and their producer began revising the song's line distribution, taking on suggestions as to whose voices fit what part. After only a few moments, a girl with crimped silvery blonde hair stood up and stretched, her stomach growling.
"I'm hungry."
A laugh escaped Jihyo's lips.
"We've literally been in the studio for half an hour, Momo. You really should start bringing snacks with you."
"I did"
"What happened then?" asked Tzuyu, flipping her russet red hair over her shoulder.
Momo grinned sheepishly. "I ate them."
Jihyo rolled her eyes and groaned. "I swear to God, your stomach is a bottomless pit. We can have a break in half an hour, okay?"
"Thank you, God Jihyo!" The girls chorused, whilst their leader bit her lip to keep from smiling.
The members continued to pour over the song for another fifteen minutes, before they were distracted by a phone call coming through the receiver on the wall beside the door. Their producer got up to answer it.
He listened to whatever was being said, before covering the microphone with his hand.
"Jeongyeon, JYP wants you to meet him in his office. He says not to worry, but your parents are there and would like to speak with you."
