The girl hurled her phone across the room, narrowly missing Chaeyoung's head. It smashed into the wall before landing on the couch. Chaeyoung sat up, eyes wide.

"Jeongyeon!" Admonished Jihyo. "What's gotten into you? You've been glaring at your phone for the last hour! Apologize to poor Chae now. You almost took her head off, the poor thing."

Blinking, Jeongyeon slowly realised what she'd done. "Oh my god!" She rushed over to hug Chaeyoung. "I'm so sorry! I wasn't thinking. It's my fault. You can have the rest of my dinner if you want!" She held out her box of takeout to the girl.

Chaeyoung giggled, pushing the container away. "It's okay, unnie, you didn't hurt me."

"But still-"

"Nope. Don't need it, don't want it. You finish your meal." Chaeyoung smiled.

Tzuyu interrupted. "However, we do need an explanation. Why did you throw your phone?" She held up the device, which was miraculously undamaged.

Jeongyeon reached for her cell, but the maknae held it just out of reach. "You can have your phone back after you tell us."

Pouting, Jeongyeon slumped down onto the floor. "It's not anything important."

Mina raised an eyebrow. "You threw your phone at Chaeng over nothing?"

"Fine! Jimin was texting me."

The leader snapped to attention. "I knew he was lying about being tired! What did he say?"

"I don't remember!"

Jihyo rolled her eyes. "Tzuyu?"

Unlocking the device, Tzuyu found the chat and began reading. "Pathetic. You can't even keep a bruise hidden. Now I'm in trouble. It's all your fault. Answer me. Bitch."

Dahyun visibly cringed at the crude insults. Tzuyu just kept reciting.

"Who the fuck are you? Your worst nightmare. Oh. Fuck off, Jimin. No. Don't you dare ignore me." She sighed. "Then he just started spamming her saying 'pathetic' over and over."

For the first time since they began eating, Momo looked up from her food. "You should just block him."

"Just did." Jeongyeon snatched her phone back from Tzuyu and clutched it to her chest, mood now gloomy and downcast.

Nayeon gritted her teeth. "I guess we'll just have to talk to him tomorrow, right Jihyo?"

"Right."

"Just don't make him angrier at me." She paused, hanging her head. "You know what? I think I've lost my appetite." Jeongyeon sighed and got up, returning her leftover food to the fridge. "I'm going to bed. Night girls." She shuffled out of the room.

Once she had left, the members dissolved into uncomfortable chatter. Sana sniffed and turned to Tzuyu. "We didn't handle that very well, did we?"

The maknae rolled her eyes. "No shit, sherlock."

"Stop swearing, Tzuyu!" Bellowed Dahyun, gaining everyone's attention. "We'll all talk to her in the morning. Right now, the best thing for her is space and- Momo!"

The group turned to look at Momo, standing in front of the refrigerator, eating Jeongyeon's leftover dinner.

"What?"

"Stop eating Jeongyeon's food!"

Whiny Bitch has blocked you.

"Fuck!" Jimin exclaimed, throwing his phone across the room, hitting the ottoman lying at the base of his bed.

That wasn't meant to happen. He'd wanted to berate her for ruining his whole day. Unfortunately, he'd also forgotten that the option to block was a thing. Now he didn't have an outlet.

Jimin flopped down onto the mattress and rethought his afternoon. It hadn't been as bad he thought it would've been. But nevertheless, he'd still felt uncomfortable. Especially since Taehyung had apparently switched sides. He also couldn't shake the feeling that someone had been following them.

When Jeongyeon had mercilessly shoved him into a bush outside the apartment complex, he'd noticed an unfamiliar girl staring at them. He'd thought he'd seen her all the back at the restaurant, outside too when the other three were bickering. From what Jimin could remember, she was a smoker? The mystery girl had been holding a cigarette in her right hand and her phone in the other.

Jimin sat up, panicked.

What if she'd recorded the conversation?

Attempting to calm himself down, he lay back down and tried to forget about the girl. It's was probably just a coincidence. Perhaps she lived in the apartment complex and was just heavily judging the noisy quartet? It was possible. They were all some of the loudest members in their respective groups.

He turned his attention back to Jeongyeon. He needed to think of ways to avoid her. Things were already awkward enough even with Nayeon and Taehyung around. He couldn't imagine how uncomfortable he'd feel alone in the same room as her.

Speaking of which, how was he going to cope once Taehyung and Nayeon moved out? He couldn't divorce her without the contract falling apart. Plus, they'd have to produce an heir at some point. Jimin wrinkled his nose in disgust at the thought. He'd have to come to an agreement with Jeongyeon. Which meant he'd have to see her in person since she blocked him.

Fuck.

This was just one, big ol' toxic circle he'd never be able to escape from.

Banishing the horrid thoughts from his head, Jimin rolled over and tried to sleep. But he couldn't. He was still worried about that mystery girl.

And for his own safety.
