"Oh hell no! Jeongyeon isn't going anywhere with you!"The man sighed at his sister, sneaking a glance at his bride-to-be, who stuck her tongue out at him.
Mature.
"Look, I don't want to take her out! But I have to, or I risk getting my neck sliced open by Mom! Read the bloody letter if you don't believe me!" Jimin tossed the letter at Jihyo, who caught it just before it hit the lightly snoring Mina.
"She doesn't actually say she would." Jihyo passed the paper onto Jeongyeon and looked up, raising an eyebrow at Jimin. "So why don't you just leave?"
The man awkwardly standing in the doorway spared her a scowl. "You know she's implying it. If I don't take your friend out, she's gonna treat me like I sold my soul to the devil."
The siblings glared icily at each other, neither willing to back down on their opinions. One was fueled by affection and the desire to protect, the other driven by fear of parental consequences.
At this point, the object of the discussion herself stepped in.
"I'm sorry, Jihyo, but I think that I have to go with him. Not to save your brother's skin, but to save my own." Jeongyeon grimaced. "I'm just as terrified of my Mom as you are of yours at times. If I said no, she would probably come down from her office and drag me out of the dorm kicking and screaming."
Jihyo rubbed her temples before making up her mind.
"Fine. You can go. But I want Nayeon to go with you. And don't forget to wear a mask!"
Nayeon dragged herself to her feet, for once regretting being the oldest. Now she would have to mediate between the two adults. They were both notorious for behaving like toddlers, too. She walked over to Jeongyeon, heaving her off of the sofa.
It was only once they began walking towards Jimin that Jihyo realized their mistake. "And for goodness's sake, get changed out of your pajamas before you leave the dorm you idiots.
Jeongyeon looked absolutely mortified, whilst Nayeon just shrugged. "Hey Yeji, Ryujin, mind if we borrow some clothes? You two are the closest to us height wise."
The two Itzy members nodded, and Nayeon grabbed Jeongyeon's hand, pulling the embarrassed girl upstairs towards the pair's shared dorm room.
A few minutes later, the two emerged looking much better than earlier. Nayeon had managed to get ready in record time, while Jeongyeon still looked a little out of it. The older dragged her friend to the entrance and waved goodbye to everyone, before slamming the door shut behind them.
The loud bang startled Mina from her slumber. She looked around and noticed that two of her friends were missing. "Where did Nayeon and Jeongyeon go?"
Jihyo sighed, deflated. "Don't worry Mina, they're fine." She promptly filled the younger in before flopping back onto the couch.
"Now, nobody bother me unless it's a life or death situation. I'm going back to sleep."

The trio walked down the halls of JYP in an awkward silence, no one daring to start a conversation. Even Nayeon was unusually quiet. Jimin interrupted the uneasiness, avoiding both girls' eyes.
"Taehyung is going to meet us at the restaurant. I asked him to come since you were told to bring a friend."
Jeongyeon nodded curtly and slipped her hand into her friend's for comfort.
"Taehyung... Is he Jennie's brother? Kim Taehyung?" Nayeon asked, attempting to continue the conversation.
Jimin blinked. "I couldn't say for sure. I know he has a sister. But I couldn't tell you her name."
Deafening silence descended upon the group again. Fortunately, they'd just reached the main entrance where a taxi was waiting to take them to their destination. Jimin hopped in the front seat, while the two girls clambered into the back.
Nayeon couldn't take the quiet anymore. "So, why'd you do it?"
Jimin turned to look at her for the first time since they'd left the dorm.
"Do what?"
"Cheat. On Jeongyeon."
He ignored the clarification and turned away immediately, sinking further into his seat as he typed away on his phone.
The girl let out a loud huff of frustration, before turning Jeongyeon and talking loudly, sneaking in many passive aggressive comments that she made sure Jimin could hear. She wanted answers. And she was determined to get them, no matter the cost.
Maybe today just wasn't the right day.

The group arrived at the restaurant to see a tall, handsome guy standing outside the restaurant. He waved Jimin over, who grabbed Jeongyeon's forearm tightly and dragged her over, much to Nayeon's displeasure. She followed the pair across the sidewalk and over to the man waiting. He smiled brightly at Jimin and hugged him. This must be Kim Taehyung...
Nevertheless, she waited until the moment was over before 'politely' interjecting her thoughts.
"What the fuck are you?" Nayeon asked, receiving a jab in the side from Jeongyeon. She didn't care about manners at this point. She was still mad about how Jimin had handled her beloved friend.
"Jimin's side-bitch. And you?" The tall man stepped forward, raising an eyebrow while smirking at her.
"Ha, it must suck being second best. I'm Jeongyeon's main bitch." Nayeon stood her ground, not fazed by his intimidation act in the slightest.
The two glared icily at each other, before they burst out laughing. Jimin and Jeongyeon glanced at each other for the first time without any hatred, completely bewildered by the bizarre exchange between their friends.
"Im Nayeon, Jeongyeon's best friend." The girl offered her hand to the guy. He shook it, grinning.
"Kim Taehyung, Jimin's best friend." The pair smiled at each other like idiots. Jeongyeon could already tell by their cheeky faces that these next few months were going to be even more of a nightmare if they ended up as buddies.
"He's not my best friend." Jimin folded his arms, delivering a scathing look.
Tae snorted. "Yeah, yeah, heard it before. At least come up with something original if you're trying to hurt my feelings."
The older girl snickered before they all proceeded into the restaurant, Nayeon and Taehyung laughing and joking together like old friends, leaving Jeongyeon and Jimin lagging behind, even more uncomfortable now that their companions had abandoned them.
Soon they were all seated at a table for four, Taehyung and Nayeon on one side, and Jimin and Jeongyeon on the opposite. Nayeon clasped her hands and leant back in her chair, sharing a villainous smirk with Tae.
"So, let's get started on these rules, shall we?"
