Jihyo knocked on the door, waiting only a few seconds before twisting the doorknob and entering the room anyway. Nayeon and Jeongyeon followed a little more cautiously behind her.
There sat Mina with Chaeyoung's head in her lap, rubbing the younger's hair with one hand, and her own temples with the other. Itzy and the other TWICE members were lying in various locations around the room. Yuna, Sana and Momo had crashed on the mattresses on the floor, a tangled mass of limbs and hair. Lia was curled up next to Yeji under a mountain of blankets, while Dahyun and Tzuyu were sleeping peacefully on opposite ends of the couch, legs twined together. Ryujin and Chaeryeong were hugging each other tightly, the younger having buried her face into the center's arm.
TWICE's leader let out a loud sigh of relief, which caught Mina's attention.
"Goodness, Jihyo, thank you for coming." She too let out a sigh. "I couldn't get them to sleep til midnight. I'm really sorry, unnie."
Jihyo smiled widely at Mina. "Don't be sorry, Mina. You did so well!"
"Yeah," Jeongyeon butted in. "Thank you so much for taking the other girls out of the house. It really means a lot to me. I feel much better now thanks to you taking on that responsibility at such short notice."
Mina flushed with pride, pleased to have her members be proud of her. "Thank you, unnie," she mumbled softly.
Tzuyu shifted on the couch, blinking, and rubbing her eyes. "Jeongyeon?"
Dahyun sat bolt right up at the sound of her unnie's name, before padding across the room in Tzuyu's footsteps to greet the three late comers. The other girls began to rise, murmuring filling the room as they crowded around Jeongyeon to make sure she was okay.
"Unnie, how are you?"
"Are you feeling alright?"
"Get better soon, Jeongie!"
Jeongyeon smiled at the members and her dongsaengs, but quickly noticed some quiet crying amidst the cacophony of noise. It was Dahyun.
She rushed forward and grabbed the younger's arm, pulling her close and folding her into a hug. "What's wrong, Dubu?"
Dahyun hiccoughed, blinking hard as tears streaked down her fair skin. "I-I was s-so scared, u-unnie. I saw you l-last night. With Nayeon-unnie. Y-you were on the floor, a-and you l-looked like you w-were dying. I thought you w-were ill." She sniffed and wiped her nose on her sleeve.
Both the Itzy and TWICE members exchanged glances. This was new information.
Jeongyeon took Dahyun's face in her hands and brushed the tears away, before bringing her head back to her chest.
"I promise you, Dahyunnie, I'm not sick. But I do have something to tell you all. You might want to sit down for this."
Everyone returned to the mattress area except for Yeji and Lia, who went to go a make tea for the two groups. While they waited for the pair to return, the girls made themselves comfortable, strewn across the furniture. Finally, when the two were back and everyone was settled, Jeongyeon broke the news.
"I'm getting married." She took a sip of her tea, trying not to flinch at the loud array of reactions. A few sat in shock, blinking, while the others began shouting indignantly on behalf of their beloved friend.
"What?!"
"That's ridiculous!"
"Who decided that?!"
"But I wanted to marry Jeongyeon-unnie!!"
Everyone turned to stare at Ryujin, who clapped her hands over her mouth while Chaeryeong smacked her leg and pouted.
"And I thought it was Yuna who was gay for TWICE," muttered Yeji under her breath, earning a look of warning from Lia.
"Awe, I would've married you if you'd asked, Ryujin," teased Jeongyeon, also receiving a slap on the leg, this one from Nayeon.
"Know your place, Yoo."
Jeongyeon faked a shiver. "Sorry, Ms. Im."
Jihyo rolled her eyes in exasperation. This was getting out of hand. Mina noticed this and quickly reigned in the conversation. "If you don't mind me asking, who are you being married off to, unnie?" She asked, gaining everyone's attention.
This time, Jihyo spoke up. "My idiot of a brother." She was met with another chorus of 'what?'s and 'that's not right!'s.
Jeongyeon clasped her hands and leant forwards. "I guess you all want me to explain."
And so she did.

The two groups spent the rest of the day together, discussing the situation and chatting about various other occasions. It had been a while since they'd all hung out with no schedule.
Ryujin and Jeongyeon were busy planning their 'marriage' with each other, much to the displeasure of Nayeon and Chaeryeong, who were sulking in the corner while they talked about their favourite musicians, singers, and actors. Mina was getting some well-earned rest, and Chaeyoung sat with her, sketching her unnie's pretty face. Momo and Yuna were playing Just Dance in another room, and the others were crowded around Tzuyu and Yeji, cheering them on quietly as they continued their arm-wrestling tournament from the night before. All in all, it was a lot more peaceful with Jihyo supervising.
"Go Tzuyu! Go Yeji!"
"What colour scheme should we have?"
"I can't believe those two are cheating on us!"
"Momo, I'm getting tired!"
"Why are your eyes so hard to draw, unnie!?"
A loud knock interrupted the semi-peace, startling everyone from their activities. Uneasy glances were shared between multiple members, all sharing identical thoughts. Who was knocking at the door at 11:00 in the morning? Yuna switched off the television and shuffled over to open the door, attempting to make herself slightly more presentable before twisting the handle.
"Is Yoo Jeongyeon here?"
"Yes. Why?" Yuna folded her arms and stared at the familiar man asking after her unnie. Jeongyeon and Jihyo's jaws dropped simultaneously in recognition of the masculine voice.
"I'm supposed to be taking her on a date."
