Meeting the neighbours

Currently I'm sitting in a car, backseat, listening to my older sister ramble on about some band called The Veins, or something. My parents thought it would be a good idea if we moved to some house in North Carolina. "There it is girls." Both me and my sister looked out the windshield to see a huge house. My mum pulled up in the driveway and turned off the car. I jumped out of the car and ran into the house. I didn't even bother to look around, I just ran up the stairs to choose my room. I found the perfect one that was huge. It had a balcony and a walk-in-closet. I put my backpack on the floor to show that this was my room and went back downstairs to grab some of my boxes. I went back upstairs with three boxes and started hanging up my posters. "Nice room Alli." My oldest brother was standing in my doorway with more of my boxes. My eldest brother is named Alex, who is 17. He has a tallish and quite buff figure, with brown hair and hazel eyes. Next is my other brother Jackson, who is 16. He also has a tallish and buff figure but with Black hair and Green eyes. Then it's my older sister Zoey, who is 15. She is tall, skinny and curvy and has long blonde hair with the ends dip-dyed blue. Then it's me. My name is Alli and I'm 13. I'm short for my age and I'm not curvy like my sister. I have longish brown hair with natural blonde streaks through it. I was in the cheerleading team at my old school but I wasn't really popular like my sister. "Thanks Alex."

"Mum told me to tell you that you have to get changed since the neighbours are coming for dinner tonight."

"WHAT!!!!! I take for ever to choose something." I pushed Alex out of my room and locked the door. I went through my boxes of clothes. I decided on a white see through crop top with a strapless shirt thingy underneath. I put on a pair of denim booty shorts. I put on my Nike calf socks and my red vans. For my hair I brushed it out and it was wavy due to the braids that I had in. I put on my normal makeup which was foundation, mascara, eyeliner, and a little bit of blush. "Alli come on down." I checked myself for any flaws then I left my room. I was walking down the stairs when I slipped and fell the rest of the way down. I opened my eyes once I had stopped moving to see 1 pair of brown eyes and 2 pairs of freakishly blue eyes. "Alli dear are you okay?"

"Huh? Oh yeah I'm fine." The boy with brown eyes stuck his hand out to help me up. I gladly took it with a smile. As I stood up I had a look around to see a women around my mum's age, a man around my dad's age, a young girl, and then the three boys that were there before. "Alli these are the Grier/Floyds. This is Elizabeth Floyd Grier, Johnnie Floyd, Skylynn Floyd, Will Grier, Nash Grier and Hayes Grier. And they live just across the road from us. Guys this is my daughter Alli." They all waved or shook my hand. Skylynn wiggled out of Elizabeth's arms and ran over to me, I squatted down to her level. "Hi Skylynn, I'm Alli." I said with a smile. "I know, you're very pretty."

"Thanks Skylynn, you are very cute."

"I also know that to." When she said that everyone giggled. "Alli do you like horses?" I looked up at her Mum who was nodding her head which decided my answer. "Yeah, how about you?"

"I love horses so much." She gave me a hug then ran over to her Dad. I stood back up and rearranged my shorts. "Did you guys bring your swimmers over?" There was a chorus of yeses. I figured we were going in the pool so I turned and ran up the stairs so that I can get my best bikini before my sister takes it. I grab it out of my box and run into the bathroom. I quickly get changed to hear Jackson and Zoey arguing over the second bathroom. I sneak into Jackson's room and get a shirt out of his closet. I slip it over my swimmers and ran into my room. I threw my hair up into a messy bun and grabbed a towel. I made my way downstairs and went out the back door. I sprayed myself with sunscreen and took off my cover-up. I laid down on one of the chairs and begun tanning. After a while I heard chatter then got sprayed by water. I sat up to see Will, Alex and Nash in the water already. I saw Zoey do a small dive into the pool then heard the back door shut again. I looked up to see Skylynn and Hayes coming out. Skylynn threw me her towel and jumped into the pool. Hayes came over and took her towel from me. "Sorry about Sky, she will think she owns you."

"It's fine. She's your half-sister right?"

"Yeah."

"Cool. And how old are you?"

"14, how about you?"

"13."

"Guys are you going to get in?" I looked at my brother then got up. I was looking in the pool when I felt hands on my back. I held my breath as I fell into the cold water. I swam back up to the surface to see Hayes next to me looking at Zoey and Skylynn. I smiled and held my arms out for Skylynn to jump in. She did so and we swam around for ages. Nash brought his GoPro so we took some underwater pictures and videos of us jumping in. After about an hour my Mum said that dinner was ready. We got out and ran inside to get dinner. We all ate outside and watched the sunset. When it was dark, my Dad set up the bonfire so that we could make S'mores. I was just sitting in my shorts and bikini with a towel wrapped around me. We were sitting on the grass, I was next to Hayes and Nash. Every time the wind blew I would shiver. Hayes must have noticed and took off his sweatshirt and passed it to me. "Hayes don't, you will get cold."

"I have a shirt on and I can just use Nash's since he isn't using his is." I smiled and slipped it on. That night the Grier/Floyds left then I remembered that I was wearing Hayes' sweatshirt. I took it off and ran out the front door to give it back. I saw him playing with his basketball out the front. "Hayes." He turned around and met me in the middle of the road. "I forgot to give you your sweatshirt back, so here it is." He smiled then refused to take it. "You keep it. It looks better on you then it looks on me."

"Oh, well thanks then." I gave him a hug then started walking back. I got to my front door and opened it up and went inside. I had a shower and got ready for bed. I laid down and slowly fell into unconsciousness.
