"Alright, so you have Jai's present in your bag, and I have Debbie's'." Ross nodded and grabbed my hand. "Let's go then." I grabbed my keys off of the counter and followed Ross out of the house. I got into the car and put my bag on the passenger seat. "Okay, so we need to stop past the boys and pick them up then we'll go to Viky's." Ross nodded and looked back out the window. "Can you send a message to one of the boys saying we're nearly there?" I gave Ross my phone and he sent them a message. "Thanks bud." He smiled and started dancing to the song. We pulled up at the boy's house and Jai and Luke both tried to sit in the passenger seat. "JAI, sit here." Jai gave Luke a quick shove and got into the back seat. "Here I'll put this in the back." I put my bag in the back on the floor. "Okay, so do you know what's happening today, because every time I ask Viky something else comes up?"
"Well I think that the twins are having a jumping castle, buts all." I nodded and pulled up at a red light. I turned to look at Ross. "We need to start thinking about your birthday."
"I want to have a pool party." I looked back to the road and started driving. "We'll have to see about that, we don't have a pool."
"You could have it at ours." I looked at Beau in the review mirror. "Really? You want to have that many people at your house."
"Well most of them we know, so it shouldn't be a problem." I nodded and pulled into a parking spot. "Ross please hold Jai's hand." He nodded and climbed out of the car. I got Ross' bag out of the car as well as the twin's presents. "Fuck." I saw Jai cover Ross' ears and Ross' eyes go wide. "What Luke? There is a minor here."
"We forgot the presents." Jai's hands went back up to Ross' ears just before Beau swore. "I'll go with Luke to get the presents. You guys take Ross in." The boys nodded and I got back in the car with Luke.
"Where are they?" I walked into the house with Luke. "I actually have no idea." I looked at him. "What do you mean you have no idea where they are."
"I'm not in charge of present shopping. Unless they are single presents." I shook my head and opened up the cupboard in the lounge room. "Can you go and check Jai's room?" I nodded and ran up the stairs into Jai's room. I opened up his closet and saw two gifts. One wrapped in blue wrapping paper with footballs all over it and the other was pink with princess crown on it. I picked up Jai's one and called for Luke. "I found them." Luke grabbed the other one and when I went to shut the door, a photo caught my eye. "What's wrong?" I put the present on the bed and picked up the picture. "Who's that?"
"That is Jai and I with our one of our old friends."
"You look so different."
"That was in year two. The day after that photo was taken he died in a car accident." I looked at Luke. "I'm sorry."
"I'm okay, but Jai I think still finds it upsetting." I put the picture back and shut the closet. I walked over to Luke and gave him a hug. Once I let go, I went and picked up the present. "Let's go?"
"Yep."
"You made it." I put the present down on the table and gave Viky a hug. "Yeah."
"Sorry, we forgot the presents so I had to go back." Viky gave Luke a hug. "It's all good. You probably could have waited to give it to them for Christmas, they wouldn't have noticed." I looked at the present table and smiled. "Probably not." Luke smiled and Viky looked between the two of us. "What?" She shook her head and smirked. "Nothing."
"Okay, do you need some help at all?" Viky looked at me then clapped her hands together. "Yes, that would be great." She walked off back into the house and I looked at Luke. "I have to go with her."
