"Okay, so your lunchbox in in here and so is your hat. I'll be here to pick you up and 3." I looked at Ross. "Are you listening?"

"DAD." Ross ran off and gave Hayes a hug. I stood up from my crouching position and walked over.

"Hey. You look amazing."

"Thank you. " Hayes wrapped around my shoulders while holding Ross with one. "Where do we go?"

"I have no idea." We walked into the school and into the office. "Hi my son is starting here and we were just wondering where we go?"

"Just go down the hall of the main building to where everyone is and there are two classrooms, if your name tag isn't in front of one, he'll be in the other class. After you drop your kids off, we have some of the older kids looking after them for awhile, while the parents talk to the teachers in two separate classrooms."

"Okay thank you." We set off to find the classrooms. "Here we are." I smiled and leant over the table looking for Ross' nametag. "He must be in the other class."

"Here it is." Hayes kneeled down and pinned his nametag on him. "Alright ready to do this bud." Ross nodded and walked into the classroom. "Ah this must be Ross."

"Hi I'm Hayes and this is Alli."

"Hi I'm Miss Gordie and I'll be Ross' teacher this year. Okay Ross you can put your bag over here then say bye to Mum and Dad." Ross went and put his bag on the hook, which had his name on it then ran over and wrapped his arms around me. I picked him up and gave him a hug. "Have a good day honey." I put him down and he ran over to Hayes. I looked around the classroom and smiled. "Ready to go?" I jumped and looked at Hayes. "Yeah." We walked out of the classroom. "Just over here, for miss Gordie's class." I smiled and we went and found two seats. "No tears?"

"No tears." Hayes laughed and looked around. "This looks like a good school."

"Yeah, it sounded good." I smiled and went quiet as Miss Gordie walked up on the stage.

"That went for ages." I nodded and stood next to Hayes. I smiled at the other parents. "Hello."

"Hi."

"My name is Mary and this is my husband James."

"My names Alli and this is Hayes."

"Is your son starting this year?"

"Yeah. He's pretty excited."

"My daughter seemed excited despite what my other said."

"How many children do you have?"

"5. Three boys and two girls."

"Whoa, we only have the one."

"How long have you been married?"

"Oh, we aren't married. We used to be together but we aren't anymore."

"Well that's too bad. We have to go and meet the other parents see you around." I waved and looked at Hayes. "I don't like her."

"She was weird." I nodded and looked around. "Do you want to go and have lunch or something? I have nothing better to do. Maybe we can talk about some stuff we still haven't got around to talking about."

"I would love that." We left and got into my car. "Where to?"

"One Mac and Cheese with an Iced Latte."

"Yep."

"And a Black Fig Burger with an Vanilla Iced Latte?"

"Yep." The lady walked away. "Trust."
