Chapter 31

"ROSS, time to go to Jai's house." I stood by the front door holding onto Ross' bag waiting for him to come out of his room. About 2 minutes later he did, pulling his toy bear along behind him. "Ready to go?" He nodded and walked out the open door. Once I got him buckled in the car we drove off. "Mum?"

"Yeah Ross?"

"Why am I staying at Jai's tonight, why can't I stay home?" I sighed and turned my head because we were stopped at a red light. "Mum just needs to sort some things out." He nodded and nodded his head along with the music.

We pulled up to the house and the boys were standing in their driveway talking to the camera. "JAI, LUKE!!!!!!" I jumped at Ross' sudden outburst to see the boys watching us with wide eyes. It was then that I noticed the blue tarp running down their driveway. "Ross please be...careful." Ross had stepped on the tarp and slipped sending him flying down the driveway, crying. "How am I supposed to get down?" The boys looked at each other while Jai was calming Ross down. "Just wait there." Luke folded the tarp over and walked up it. Once he got to the top, he held his hand out. "Be careful, its still slippery."

"What exactly are you doing with it?"

"We're going to see who can get up to the top first." I nodded my head still firmly holding onto his hand. "Alli, watch out." I stood on a piece off tarp and slipped over, Luke tried to hold me up, but instead fell over on top of me. I could hear Ross and the other boys laughing which made me start laughing. Luke got up carefully and helped me up.

Once we safely made it to the bottom, I was soaked. "This is going to be a stupid question but is there any chance that you have any clothes I can borrow?" Luke nodded and pulled me inside with him. Luke's room was fairly neat and smelt really good. "Here this might fit." He passed me a pair of leggings and one of his shirts. "Thanks." He laid down on his bed and looked the other way. "Just change in the corner, I won't look." I quickly got changed and the leggings were a bit big around the waist so I just rolled them. "Okay, I'm good." Luke looked up and smiled. "Let's go."

We got outside and the boys started their video again. And to be honest it was pretty funny to see them slip over. By the time they were down, I had to go. "Ross, come say goodbye to mum." Ross' smiled faded and he got up off of Beau and ran over to me. "Do you have to go?" I nodded and gave him a kiss on the forehead. "Why? Your boyfriends here, Luke is here." I blushed and shook my head. "I'll be back tomorrow afternoon, I promise." He nodded and wiggled down and ran over to Daniel with tears in his eyes. "Here I'll walk you out." I nodded and waved bye to the boys and walked out with Luke following. "Good luck for tomorrow." I turned around after putting my bag in the car. "Thanks."

"How you going so far?" I shook my head and looked down. "Honestly, not to well. What happens if I lose?" Luke pulled me in for a hug while I cried into his shoulder. "Don't worry about it, you will win." I smiled and pulled away. "Thanks. I have to go." I gave him another quick hug and kissed his cheek. "Thanks a lot. See you tomorrow." I hopped into the car and drove back to mine.

Once I saw that the time was 7 in the morning I got up. I had a nice shower and got into my clothes. The clothes that I put on were plain white singlet covered with a black blazer, a black pencil skirt that went to just above my knee, pulled my hair up into a bun and slipped on a air of strappy black heels and my A necklace. I grabbed my keys and wallet and left the house.

Halfway to the courtroom, I realised that I was about an hour early so I pulled the car over towards the nearest Starbucks. I sat in the car just started crying. I was just crying and wouldn't stop. I needed to call someone so I rang Luke.

PHONE CONVO

"Hello?"

"Hey."

"Hey what's wrong?"

"I can't do this Luke." I could hear movement on the other side of the phone. "Where are you?"

"Out the front of Starbucks, about 15 minutes from the courtroom."

"Okay, I'll be there in 20. Because I just woke up." I giggled and leant back in my seat. "I'll go and order."

"Can I please have a Vanilla Bean Crème Frappuccino?"

"Yeah, that's easy because that's my order. So see you in 20?"

"Nah, in like 5."

"Okay." I hung up the phone and walked into the Starbucks. I ordered and sat down with the drinks. "Is this seat taken?" I looked up and saw Luke. "Here this is yours." Luke sat down and smiled. "You didn't need to come here, you know?"

"Well it sounded like you needed it." I smiled and looked down at my cup. About 20 minutes later Luke left and I just stayed where I was and thought about what I was going to say. I looked up and saw Viky, Nash, Cameron and Hayes walk in talking. I stood up and went to put my rubbish in the bin when I heard Viky behind me with Cameron. "I was just going."

"And I'm going with you." I shook my head. "You need to stay here." Viky smiled and nodded. "On one condition." I lifted my eyebrow making her carry on. "As long as I can sit behind you in there." I nodded and gave her a hug as she walked back to Hayes who was looking this way. "Can I come with you?"

"If you want." Cameron smiled and linked his arm with me and we walked to my car.

Once we got to the courtroom. All the boys were there. As soon as I got out of the car Jack and Jack ran over. "Shawn's inside arguing with Elizabeth."

"Why?"

"Honestly I have no idea." I smiled at them and hurried off towards the room. Once I got in there, Shawn and Elizabeth were arguing between two rows of chairs, Skylynn was siting down with her hands over her ears crying. I was trying to figure out what to do when I heard the door open again. "Shit." I turned around to see Hayes standing there. "What do we do?"

"I'll try and stop them you grab Sky?" I nodded my head and hurried off down the aisle. "Skylynn." She turned around and ran over to me. "Come on." I walked with her till we found Nash. "What happened?"

"Your Mum and Shawn are arguing over something." Nash shook his head and started walking towards where Hayes was. "Don't Hayes has it under control." He nodded and gave me a hug. "Good luck."

"What do you mean.....oh!" I turned around and saw the judge getting ready. I went and sat down next to my lawyer and looked over at Hayes. He gave me a slight smile and I returned it before we started.

Skipping Court

As soon as I got out of the court I got into my car and drove to the boys house. When I got there the boys were nowhere in sights so I just let myself in. I walked through their house will I found them playing in the pool. Ross made eye contact with me so I put my finger up to my lips telling him to keep quite. Luke was standing on the side of the pool, so I went up behind him and pushed him in. "What the hell?" He turned around and saw me standing there and quickly hopped out the pool. HE grabbed my hand and pulled me a little further from the pool and waited. "What?"

"Well...."

"I won." Luke smiled and pulled me in for a hug. Even though he was wet, I didn't fight or anything. "I have my swimmers in my car if you want to walk with me there?" Luke nodded and let me go first.

Once we got to my car, I threw my arms around Luke's neck and kissed him. Soon enough Luke wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed me back. Once I pulled away, I looked down. "Sorry."

"Honestly it's all good." He leant down and kissed me again. "MUM WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" We pulled away to see Ross standing there with a shocked face. "Ross, they were kissing." We looked down the driveway to see the boys watching and smiling. "Lets go back in the pool." I got my swimmers out of the car and grabbed Luke's hand pulling him down the driveway with me.
