Chapter 21

The next few days were uneventful. We went to the beach a few times and did a few other things. But there was one thing that still wasn't right, and that was that Shawn still wasn't talking to me. I don't know if you know but Shawn used to be my best friend. He was there through everything. If I walked into the kitchen to get breakfast and he was in there, he would walk out. If I got into the same car as him, if we were going out with everyone, he would get out and get into the other car. This happened a lot. I don't know if it's because of something I've down or he's just going through a faze. "Okay guys let's get going." I stood up and walked out of my room.

Today we were going and visiting Viky and Nash. I walked into the lounge room and saw everyone. "Are we going?" Cameron nodded and walked towards the door. Shawn walked past me and nudged my shoulder. Once everyone was out the door, Aaron came and grabbed my hand. "What's wrong?" I shook my head and locked up the house. We got into the car with Hayes and Cameron and drove off to Viky and Nash's.

Once we got there another car pulled up next to us. Hayes smiled and hopped out of the car. I got out and saw a familiar blonde haired girl giving Hayes a hug. "Skylynn!" Skylynn turned around and gasped. She let go of Hayes and run around to me. I opened my arms and she gave me a big hug. "Alli, hi." I smiled and took in how much she's grown up. Everyone said hello to the Floyds we went inside. Viky was sitting on the couch with one of the twins. Nash was standing up greeting everyone. I went last, and gave Nash a big hug. "Hey."

"Hey, what's up?" I shook my head. "Shawn." Nash nodded and let go. I walked over to Viky who was now standing up. "And this Jai is your Aunty Alli. Alli this is Jai Hayes Grier." I smiled and grabbed hold of Jai's hand. "You can hold him." I smiled and grabbed hold of Jai. "Alli, what do you think of him"

"I think he's perfect." Viky smiled and took Jai back as I went to sit down next to Hayes. "You alright?" He nodded and grabbed hold of my hand. "Just thinking." I nodded and leaned back up against his shoulder.

We stayed at Nash and Viky' for another hour or so then left. When we got into the car Aaron didn't sit in the middle like he normally does, he sat on the other side. I shrugged it off and just kept listening to Cameron. We got back to our place at 4 and all filed into the lounge room. I sat down next to Hayes and Cameron. "Alli, can I talk to you?" My head shot up, and I saw that it was Aaron who asked. I nodded and followed him into his room. "What's up?"

"I don't want to, but I think we have to. But I think we have to break up. Hayes obviously still likes you and you obviously still like him and it's to hard to compete." I just sat there taking it all in. "We can still be best friends Alli, like we were." Aaron grabbed hold of my hand. I pulled it away and stood up. "I-I just need time to think." I left Aarons room and walked out. I walked past the lounge room, ignoring the questions and walked out the front door.

I had been walking for 15 minutes when I came across the park. The park Hayes, Shawn and I always went. Everyone was ringing my phone, but I ignored them. I went and sat down on one of the swings and cried.

"I know I would find you here." I turned round and saw Shawn standing behind the other swing. I smiled down at my knees, seeing all the goose bumps on them. Shawn laid something over my shoulders; I looked at it seeing one of his jumpers. "I also knew you would be cold." I smiled at him and pulled it over my head. "Thanks."

"What happened in there, because as soon as you slammed the front door, Aaron had a temper tantrum?"

"He broke up with me." Shawn shook his head and sighed. "It was going to happen soon enough. Everyone could see Aaron getting jealous." I sighed and stood up. "And I'm also wondering if we can still be friends because I don't know what I've done but I'm sorry." Shawn stood up and gave me a hug. "Don't worry about it, I was just on my man period." I laughed as he pulled away. Shawn grabbed my hand and started walking.

We got back to our house and Nash and Viky's car was here. We walked in and everyone was crowded around the place. Shawn shut the door with some force so that he got everyone's attention. Hayes' head flew around the corner and when he saw me there he jogged over and wrapped his arms around me. As soon as he did, I started crying. "Alli it's okay." Hayes rubbed my back while still giving me a hug. "Hayes, what are you doing?" I pulled away and wiped my tears. "Actually don't answer that, I see what your doing." Tiffany walked past all of us. "Tiff-." She walked out the door and slammed it. Hayes groaned and pulled me in for another hug. I pulled away. "You have duties to attend to." He gave a slight laugh, grabbed his jumper and went to go and find Tiffany.

Once he left, Nash came up to me and gave me a hug. "Where the hell were you? Why weren't you answering your phone? I was worried sick Alli."

"I'm fine." Everyone giggled at my plain answer, and then went back to doing whatever. Nash left soon after. Everyone sat down in the lounge room and Shawn put a movie on. About 15 minutes later Hayes walked back in the door with Tiffany. She stormed into Hayes' room, no one really cared. Then about 10 minutes layer she came back out with her bags. "Bye Tiffany." Hayes waved and shut the door. Everyone looked at Hayes. "She dumped me." I smiled and stood up so that Hayes could sit down and I sat back down on his lap. "Will you go out on a date with me?" Hayes whispered in my ear. I nodded and rested my head against his shoulder and watched the movie.
