November 3rd 1984

It was just another normal Saturday night. You were sat in your room to study for an upcoming unit test as you tried to block out your thoughts from the night before.

Your hand rubbed the spot of your neck where Billy had kissed, he didn't leave any marks, yet you could still feel his lips on your skin. With a drawn out groan, you slung your head off the edge of your bed.

You stayed like that for a moment until the walkie in your room started going crazy with Dustins frantic voice. "Is anyone there? Over....Guys seriously, now is not the time to be ignoring me! It's a code red!"

You quickly moved off your bed and picked up the device and held down the button. "Dustin?" Immediatley it clicked back, his voice frantically ringing through. "Oh thank god! I'll be over to your house in a second, it is too sensitive to be talked about here. Over."

The voice cut off, your heart speeding up at the urgency in his tone. You threw on a pair of jeans and a long sleeve with a jacket. While you were tying your converse, a knock at the door resounded and you opened it to see Dustin...and Steve.

The older boy and you both glanced at each other with slight confusion, but also an awkward tension. "You two can make up on the way back to my place, but we have to go...NOW!"

Dustin started walking off before stopping and looking toward you,
"(Y/n), bring the gun." Your eyes slightly widened, but with Wills news and visions, you didn't even want to question it.

You quickly ran to the garage and grabbed the shoulder-sling bag, laying it out before safely putting the shotgun inside and zipping it up. "Let's go." You said, walking alongside Dustin while Steve trailed a bit behind.

"So what is going on?" Steve asked, jogging up to the other side of the boy. Dustin stayed silent for a moment before letting out a nervous chuckle. "So, (Y/n)...you remember Dart?"

You instantly stopped and grabbed his jacket, a scowel lining your features. "Dustin Henderson! You did NOT keep that thing when I EXPRESSLY told you not to!"

"What thing?" Steve asked once again, looking between the both of you and seeing how furious you were with the boy. "Yeah Dustin. Why don't you explain to Steve here what that thing you kept is?" Letting go of his jacket, Dustin started to speedily explain everything to Steve about Dart.

"So you didn't kill this thing because you promised to protect him? But now you want us to kill him for you?" Steve looked over at you, "He is fucking crazy." You nodded in agreement as you continued to follow the boy back to his house.

"At least we can agree on something..." Steve muttered, causing you to march over to him and slightly shove his shoulder. "What the hell are you on about Harrignton?! We agree on literally almost everything! It is when you start to pry into my business that it becomes a problem!"

Dustin rolled his eyes and kept walkimg, letting you two argue behind him as you followed.

"Forgive me if I want to make sure my best friend is okay!" Steve replied, watching as you furrowed your brows. "Everything IS fine! Don't you think I would have told you if it wasn't?! God! To think this is just because you can't accept that maybe I can have other friends!"

"It wouldn't be a problem except for ths fact that, oh, I don't know,.this friend has beaten me and SEVERAL other people up too!" He fired back, Dustin starting to realize who you both were referring to. "So have you! The only difference is Billy actually wins them!"

"She has a point." Dustin chimed in, earing a sour look from Steve.

"That is exactically my point! He beats up people for no reason what so ever! The guy is contantly coming to school with bruises and marks!" The older boy countered toward you again, not seeing how someone as smart as you could be fooled by him.
