"They really want me to look like a whale, huh?" You groaned, shoving aside another one of the ugly maternity dresses that were the only things available. Dress after dress you pushed aside, ignoring the little smirk that appeared on Billy's face as he leaned against the rack.

"Why are they all so ugly! I'm not a grandma!" You said a bit too loudly, listening to the chuckle come from your boyfriend as a few other women sent you questioning looks. But you were trying to block them out, after all- as soon as you stepped foot in the section all eyes were on you and Billy. Whispers were exchanged between couples and friends that were things like:

'That poor girl.'

'How unfortunate.'

'Is she really going to keep the baby?'

'That boy isn't going to stay for long.'

Billy took a very big personal offense to that last one, but kept his cool by focusing on you and your shopping endeavors. You had gotten some new bras, laughing when Billy started playing with the removable flap and talking about how you should just wear those all the time.

"Princess, if you want we can just go look at the men's clothes." He suggested, watching your cheeks puff out in frustration. "I don't even know, I'm so sick of shopping and we have only been here for thirty minutes." You rubbed your palms across your face before feeling Billy remove one of your hands and start to pull you across the store.

Eventually you were in the men's section, now getting even MORE looks as a pregnant teen girl walked through the aisles. You weren't sure what he was getting at by bringing you over here, but you stopped when his hands rested on your hips.

Leaning down, he pressed a small kiss to your neck and whispered in your ear. "Choose whatever the hell you want. Comfortable sweatpants, baggy t-shirts with stupid graphics, I don't care. Whatever you get, I'll wear it for you so it smells like me, then you wear it." Your eyes lit up, body whipping around to face him as you grabbed the material of his button up. "Really?! Even the really stupid graphic tees?" He smiled and pecked your temple, "Even the really stupid ones."

You squealed and instantly felt in brighter spirits, going around and getting shirts three sizes too big so you wouldn't grow them out anytime soon. Tossing them to Billy, he looked over each one, watching as you chose some plain t-shirts and long sleeves, then some graphic tees (usually about space or star wars), and then even a few nicer button ups.

Billy raised his brow and looked at you, watching you bite your inner cheek and shrug. "I think it will look good on you." With a small breath of a laugh he let you do your thing, choosing instead to go wander around the nearby baby section.

Everything was so...small. Could something really fit in anything THAT tiny? He looked at all the little toys and blankets, feeling how soft the material was and wondering why the babies got all the extra soft shit. Looking at the small stuffed animals, he wondered what his kids favorite animal was going to be.

A lion?

Monkey?

Swan?

Elephant?

It seemed to hit him then, the weight of it all. His breath hitched and eyes widened just enough to make it look like he was taken aback by something. Soon he would have a child...a little baby that was probably going to be the size of his forearm, relying on him.

Billy swallowed, looking around at the cribs and rocking chairs as well as the abundance of diapers and wipes. What else did he need to get? Oh god his list wasn't as nearly as long as it needed to be! There was so much he needed to do and so little time to-
